Nope, wifi still is not working. I have tried almost everything too, even a complete reformat with 10.7.2; the only place wifi works is in the unibeast osx instasller

Interestingly enough, I am currently on 10.7.2. I'm using the Pacifist app to extract all the kexts from the lion install file and installing them manually with KextWizard to see if that brings me back to stock. I'll post my results.

Here is an interesting caveat: I booted into the osx installer with unibeast (USB LION) and the wifi card was detected and working in there just fine...

Did you by any chance install custom kexts to get your ethernet working? In a few peoples case the custom kext disabled the wireless functionality. This is the issue I am trying to work through currently.

Really?? You don't think it will mess anything up?? Its possible its a waste, but i can sell my i5-2500k for around $150 used, and I can get a new i7-2600k for $200. I think the upgrade is worth $50 don't you guys?
