I tried 6,1 and it looked cool and sleep worked fine but it stopped speed stepping and dropped my multiplier to 9. 3,1 works fine though so I guess I'll stick with that.
14,2 is working fine for me also. I identify more with a Mac Pro than an imac though so if I could get good results using a different profile I'd kinda prefer it. Silly, I know but there it is... :-)
Thanks for the guide Lexone. It really helped me a lot with the transition to Mavericks from Lion. I was wondering if you used the new SMBIOS definition for 6,1 on your system? If so, did it affect your power management functionality?
Thanks
It occurred to me that all I needed to do was get an enclosure for one of my lion installed drives and connect it to my Macbook Pro by USB. I was able to remove the DSDT.aml from /Extra and remove the cache file also. Hopefully it'll work when I put it in my GA-H55M-USB3 tomorrow. I am...
:?:
Resurrecting this thread for a sec. My GA-P55-USB3 has finally given up after its CMOS was wiped by the RTC wake from sleep issue. The CMOS chips or controller were damaged a while back when some idiot(ME) shorted the CMOS jumper while the power was on. After that it would only run...
It just won't work for me. I did a fresh install of 10.6 to a spare drive. Updated to 10.6.4 with the combo update and used Multibeast 2.5.1 to install the patched USB 3.0 kext and everything works but the USB 3.0. Yes, I do have it enabled in my bios. I ran kextstat and don't see the kext...
Re: Need Realtek ALC 892 Testers ASAP! Thanks!
D'oh! I'd love to help out but I'm outta town for a few days! Defininitely check it out when I get back!
Let me put it this way. In the past couple weeks I've reflashed my bios 5 or so times. The first 4 times I used QFlash and after what looked like a successful flash I'd restart and go into the bios to load optimized settings. 2 of those times I would get a double beep and not even be able to...
Another thing to keep in mind. I gotta say that QFlash really sucks! Every time I've used it I end up with a double beep and have to screw around for a while to get it to boot again. This time I used the FLASHSPI utility that was packaged with the bios file from Gigabyte on a bootable USB and...
Well, I reflashed to F8 and reinstalled the dirvers and dsdt via Multibeast but there is no change. I gotta say that QFlash really sucks! Every time I've used it I end up with a double beep and have to screw around for a while to get it to boot again. This time I used the FLASHSPI utility on...
Well I did. That was the first way that I tried to get this going. It installed the kext but nothing showed up in profiler and my drives don't mount in the USB 3 ports. I've been hitting this hard from many angles and not getting anywhere. I'm open to suggestions? I've enabled the USB 3...
A USB stick will work but first you need to enable USB Storage in the Integrated peripherals section of the bios setup. Then reboot again and run Qflash.
I rolled back to F6 from F8 and rolled back my DSDT to match and see no change. I'm starting to wonder if maybe there's a problem with my Motherboard's onboard USB3 controller. I'm sure that I have followed the instructions for the Lacie kext and PXHCD_patched but I see no result. After I ran...
I uninstalled the PXHCD kext installed by Multibeast 2.51 and ran kext utility. Rebooted and then installed via the Lacie installer. Removed the PXHCD file from within the Lacie kext and replaced it with ModBin's PXHCD. Ran Kext Utility and rebooted. Still no joy on USB 3 ports. Superspeed...
I use a Corsair H50 and it's AMAZING! My CPU temps with the stock cooler at idle were in the mid 40's and under load were above 80. I replaced the stock cooler with the H50 which fit easily and now it idles around 30 and never goes above 60 under load! It's a simple self contained liquid...
My GA-P55-USB3 v2 isn't cooperating with me on this one. Running 10.6.5 with either 32 or 64 bit kernel I can't get the USB3 ports to be recognized. It does have power going through them because my GoFlex 3TB USB 3 drive lights up when connected to the 2 blue ports but it doesn't show up on...
