    4540s with hd4000 is a good choice, although you cannot get wifi working with default wifi card.

    Today, HP release a new bios for 4x40s. I tried to reapply the old patch. After apply the necessary patches, the old dsdt got no errors, but new dsdt get "invalid character (0x2e)". Any clue for this? I attached both vanilla and patched dsl files.

    This is a HUGE update. Thank you so much! EDIT: My trackpad has a led but I don't have double tapping to disable trackpad by default.

    Rightnow I am satisfied with default setting - media key first. Actually I found it's a bit of inconvenient when I am using a program using a lot of F keys. Anyway, your work is wonderful. Thank you, Rehabman.

    Oh, actually I prefer Fn + F keys for media functions, but it's really cool that we can now swap the function. Can you make a button to switch between modes?

    Weird that you have wifi with that card, is that an original HP part? Did you mod your BIOS?

    @Rehabman: So basically version 1.7.2 make media keys without Fn work? Is this enabled by default or people have to press Fn + F? Does this setting remain after reboot?

    @corebuilder: Remember that HP whitelists bios for HP only wifi cards. Unless you can get an un-whitelisted bios, you cannot put any normal wifi cards.

    Can we set the interval of time for Battery Manager to check for power consumption? Sometimes I use Safari going to a heavy website, and the Battery almost instantly reports battery time decrease, and then for another seconds the time increases. It seems reporting too fast makes the time inaccurate.
