Turns out I've answered my own question, the 40R includes a 1m HDMI lead and a crossfire link. However if I've missed anything, and it does make a difference, please let me know. Dan

I should be fine, my router is actually at the top of the stairs, but I can't convince my parents to let me route an Ethernet cable through the wall and downstairs. Still I've been using WiFi on my PC and MacBook Air for ages and it's never been an issue.
