Thank you for this guide! If I may suggest an edit, XHCI Hand-off is found under Advanced>USB Configuration>XHCI Hand-off. I hunted for it a while. :) Also, did you install a USB 2.0 cable to the motherboard to boot to the installer USB drive? I am getting the "no" symbol error and...

    HD4400/HD4600 HDMI testing.

Gotcha. Sorry I am at a loss as to how to proceed doing this. I take it Nguyenmac's AppleHDAIDT.kext needs specific patches for my system. Any suggestions or developments with audio kexts in PBI over the past 10 days? Thanks in advance Nguyenmac and RehabMan!!!

    HD4400/HD4600 HDMI testing.

Hello RehabMan, I tried the Reset HDA config.plist tweak you suggested, and am reporting back: unfortunately it did not work. But I am wondering if there is a way to set a delay and enter an automatic sleep/wake cycle after booting as a workaround. Any solution you know that can do that...

    HD4400/HD4600 HDMI testing.

I used Kext Wizard to reinstall the original AppleHDAIDT.kext. After I installed, repaired permissions and cleared cache using Kext Wizard and restarted, it worked as it should. Then I shut down (did not choose restart), went to the Clover bootloader screen, and loaded the OS. After that, it...

    HD4400/HD4600 HDMI testing.

Hello Nguyenmac, I tried version 1, no real change from the existing kext. When I tried version 2, I lost all sound output devices in the preference pane. I repaired permissions and cleared kext cache using Kext Wizard and restarted, no devices still. Repeated permission repair and kext...

    HD4400/HD4600 HDMI testing.

Hello RehabMan, Yes, it's peculiar, but if I start with the Built-In speakers and plug in something to the headphone jack, no change. Then I set the computer to sleep and the screen blinks black, but does not enter sleep completely. Once that occurs, Yosemite Sound Preference pane shows a...

HDMI, sir. Will try the sleep/wake cycle, thank you. What do you think of this post as a possible solution? http://ksktechr.blogspot.in/2014/11/how-to-fix-audio-issue-on-os-x-1010.html I am a little skeptical. Thanks RehabMan!

Rats! Premature enthusiasm. I found that the external headphone jack only works if I plug something in and reboot, and if I unplug, audio does not go back to internal speakers. Joyfult had a similar issue here...

Hello Nguyenmac, Thank you for posting gigabyte666's patch! I tried the Clover config.plist patch, that did not work. I then tried the terminal command posted first, repaired permissions and rebuilt cache using Kext Wizard, rebooted, and I am reporting success. One question: will updates...
