Yes...And now we do not even have those drivers for the last High Sierra security update. Something really serious is developing between Apple and Nvidia...
There are worrying signs. First, "we are working in a Mojave driver with 2080 support but no ETA" then "if Apple allows..." to the most recent "NVIDIA currently cannot release a driver unless it is approved by Apple".
I can not understand how Apple calls itself a green company and chooses...
They were working in a Mojave driver with 2080 support and now they cannot release it? And additionally an Nvidia representative recommending the AMD cards... :lol::banghead::crazy:
This comedy is well beyond any other. In the meantime, there is a petition here...

Some reboots and into the system again with apple native graphics, nvidia prompts to update web drivers, reboot to working state including audio (injected from EFI).

My system lost sound after upgrading to last Chimera. There aren't input or output devices in the control panel and the volume icon in the menu bar is grey. I'm using the GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 MB with the last U1E UEFI Bios. This Realtek ALC889 codec was working using Chimera 1.11.1 and the kexts...
