    X299 Big Sur Support

Hello everyone, I recently updated my open core to the latest version in order to update my big sur to 11.4. Everything went smoothly but since the update, i have lost most of my USB ports (3.0) even without changing anything in the ACPI folders or in my config.plist. It's weird because i had...

Thanks, i already tried the attached kext with no success but i took a closer look at it and redid mine. I think it's working now, i got rid of the 3.1 ports to make it simple. I wasn't that far but i think my dock is acting weird depending of which port it is plugged in. I'll get something else...

    1) so i set manually the values to 0 and 3 depending of the type of port but... 2) i only have to map the intel ??? but you just said the intel are the USB2 ports and they seems to work fine. 3) Nope, the dock seems to stay connected when using USB2 port based on what i understand, i redid my...

yes, totally. i don't use usb kext as the instructions suggested to use either the generated SSDT or the kext but it looks like this. I used hackintools to generate the files by plugging in each port one USB2 device and then one usb3 device then deleted all the white entries. I have just 14...

oh ok, the whole discussion was about that specific type of 32gb corsair LPX since i couldn't boot my system with them on my SAGE but Ghostmac1969 got his working. Could be the bios version or the CPU used. i'll never know since i returned the ram and got something else.

Hello, this USB mapping is really driving me nuts, my usb3 dock keeps disconnecting despite following all the instructions... there must be something i don't understand. Do i need to rename the ports with the asus Sage board ?

There’s a good chance my bios was too old to support the ram and i didn’t figured how to use flashback on the board until i already had returned the corsair :/

    X299 - Open Core support

I'm still on BIOS 0905, do you recommand to upgrade it with a patched 3101? it seem there is a problem with security & privacy on my mojave install, since i switched to opencore, i can't add anything to full disk access or accessibility. There's a few apps that keep asking me to add them there.

My the alert is a bios alert, one long and 3 shorts. Regarding the headless boot, i have an exotic system with multiple displays, 2 are vga using DP adaptors and one is DVI, i can only see the DVI when booting if i unplug both DP. I had the same issue with my previous board (p9x79) with...

Why does CSM need to be disabled ? When i disable it, my board sends an alert thru the speaker and even with only one display connected on My RX580, i can’t see anything on screen until it is booted. No really practical for dual boot. Also i can’t get back in the bios without clearing the cmos...

Not in my case, i went straight to OC guide and followed all the steps. Unfortunately, i’ve never been too familiar with ssdt on my previous builds, chameleon or clover has always made everything much easier.
