I'm trying to figure out if CPU Power management works on my laptop. I do this like that:
$ sudo mkdir /kexts
skylake:Downloads antonio$ sudo cp -R AppleIntelInfo.kext /kexts/
skylake:Downloads antonio$ sudo kextutil /kexts/AppleIntelInfo.kext
Kext with invalid signatured (-67062) allowed...
HP ProBook 430 G6 (Whiskey Lake)
USB Stick does not boot. First I see apple only. Then progress bar appear. Progress is growing, growing and growing up to the very end. However nothing happens. It gets frozen at the very last position.
Finally I managed to make a pure EFI build (without adding anything to /L/E or /S/L/E). Here is How I did this
Hardware
CPU: Intel Core i5 3.9GHz
RAM: 32Gb 2133 MHz DDR4
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620 / PCI [8086:3ea0] - requires Lilu.kext + WhateverGreen.kext, device-id=a53e0000...
I'm trying to avoid APFS conversion. For this reason I ejected SATA drive and connected it through USB2SATA converter. When I try to install Mojave, this drive can not be selected with error "You may not install to this volume because the computer is missing a firmware partition."
I tried re-download installer and verified that it was retrieved completely. However I still get this error: An error occured validating the installer data. The download is either damaged or incomplete. Redownload the installer and try again.
Hardware
- Intel Core i5 2.4 GHz (with Intel HD Graphics 520, metal capable)
- 32 GB 2133 MHz DDR4
- Two external displays 1920x1080 (VGA and HDMI)
- 60Gb SSD (SATA)
- Build-in Realtek RTL8111HSH. RealtekRTL8111.kext works for me
- WiFi Intel 3165 - known to be unsupported, replaced with Dell...
I just wonder if I'm the only one who can not upgrade to High Sierra beta5 due to problems with Intel HD Graphics 520?
After video driver is loaded, screen looks like that:
Note: Beta4 works like a charm so far.
Update:
I found this in logs:

In SONY VAIO VPCS11V9R there is a video card NVIDIA GeForce 310M. Video card is recognized and external monitor works just fine. However built-in monitor is ignored by macOS. I guess I should patch DSDT/SSDT but I have no idea how to do this. Could anyone drop me a hint, please?

Hardware
- CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
- GPU build-in Intel HD Graphics 520. Works for me. HDMI video works out of the box, I attached a Full HD monitor (1920x1080) and it works just fine. GPU consumes 1.5Gb of memory, I found no way to reduce this amount so far. Later I...
I've got a 10.11.6 build and Broadcom BCM94352Z network adapter. It seems that everything is working except AirDrop. I performed a research and it looks like it worth sharing it.
Problem #1 is that AirDrop does not work without Bluetooth enabled:
Actually there are two ways: connect to...

I want to tell that I tried out this keyboard and I am completely satisfied with it.
I had to install KeyRemap4MacBook to support sound and music control buttons. Unfortunately there was no build-in configuration matching this particular keyboard, so I had to create my custom private.xml...
I had a build with this controller and it worked just fine for me in OS X 10.8.5. And even after I updated to 10.9 it worked for a while.
However after I rebooted once, it stopped working. When I plug in and plug out the cable, driver (Realtek81xx) can detect this. But DHCP does not work and...
