So with Sierra, also the ootb 280x has pre os black screen? The question is: pre os black screen means that if you wait you'll get your os or that it stucks on a black screen? Do you get at least the boot screen in case of a dual boot system?

AMD already won the contract for the new macs. On the new macs there will be a Polaris 10 and a Polaris 11 card. It's also very difficult to have support nowadays because FCPX is optimized for OpenCL and Nvidia is CUDA (= less performance on fcpx)

Great. So with IGP and RX 460 connected to the same monitor you get the pre OS screen (with bios and boot drive selection) and the right OSX screen with no problem...not really a pita in my opinion, just 1 more cable

Guys, could we use bot IGC and AMD cards on the same screen to avoid the Boot on black screen? I mean, IGC set to primary card (ex. via hdmi/dvi) and AMD connected to the same monitor (via DP)? Could it work? Maybe the only thing to do is switch the source from the monitor..
