Hey ! I use 1x7970 and 1xr9 280x crossfired, want´s 508watt from the wall while playing (i7 4,2 ghz, some disks)..... don´t save on the psu ! In mac os the second card won´t shut down, even if you don´t need the second graphicsc. I´d go for one r9 280x and if need ad second later ?

I was using the 6850, no prob @ all. Now I m using the 7970 and a r9 280x, no prob ( graphicsenabler=no), I was wondering, why those are not listed in the buyers guide too ?

Well first you ll have to install all components ( except the GPU, I d start with the hd4000), boot into your bios/efi and configure what you ll need for your mac os installation. You need to set boot priority or just boot with F12 and select your unibeast usb stick ( you ll find it detailed...

For the vapor.x 7970 3gb I did some more testing. Don´t really know how to test the QE/Ci tried the ripple effect, chess and the screensaver, all good :-) DVD Player works fine ( Lg blu ray player with dvd movie). On which settings is your unigine heaven locked up ? same on unigine valley...

MBR works with this options set in EFI ( ga z77 ds3h) but only with GraphicsEnabler=No and the "sleep trick". Intel HD4000 won´t show up in Systempref, just the 7970, except the last time I booted with one monitor internal hdmi and the other one on the 7970. it´s a sapphire vapor.x 7970 3gb...

As I said, Tony you´re awesome :-)))) just booted with the MBR Stick, disabled IGPU and came to the white screen, Sleep and real JOY !!! :-) Hdmi plugged to the internal ( no signal yet) and dual dvi for my 2560x1440, resolution supported ! Benchmark following, trying to activate the OC...
