Update: Had issues with this again but it came down to not having XMP activated in BIOS. I also deactivated memory/RAM fastboot which seems to have solved the issue
Hi! Yeah, I have tried both the Club 3D Active adapter and a generic brand. No change - black screen but the adapters worked in Windows.

Edit: Solved it by unchecking "Inject Nvidia" in Clover Configurator.
