Got the new WiFi card & Bluetooth adapter in today. For the fun of it I decided to try putting the WiFi card in as a test and it works great. I guess I read wrong about my laptop having a whitelist for WiFi cards. All that is left is following your battery guide better, I see a battery status...
I think it was just in the installer. I just installed the latest version of it on the installed system and everything is fine now. Just waiting on my new WiFi card and I need to figure out the audio, but so far so good. I really appreciate the help.
I am, I am just trying to remember the exact options I used to get it working. WiFi adapter & USB Bluetooth adapter ordered. I will read how to fake the Adapter as being a supported one.
My only whitelisted WiFi cards are Intel & MediaTek/Ralink. No Broadcom or Atheros. I see that a USB WiFi card isn't recommended, I guess that means I'm done with this laptop since I cannot change the internal card.
Ok, Managed to get it installed. No WiFi, what is a good USB WiFi adapter that works with OSX? Bluetooth is listed so if I end up needing that, I'm OK there.
SATA SSD. I inject the kext when I create the installer right? And is there a way to get the track pad working in the installer or an external mouse my best bet?
I managed to get the Sierra installer booting on my m6-k025dx however as it is stuck in RAID mode I cannot partition the disk. I did a search but haven't found anything on how to fix this. Does someone know of a guide on getting Sierra on this laptop?
Ok, then I'm confused as to what is going on. My CPU fan is spinning up about every 10 minutes for a couple of seconds then drops back down. Only happens in OS X, not Windows.
