My plan was to put the whole thing in there with a low-profile fan ... i was going to cut a hole in the top to let the low-pro fan stick through ... i have been too busy to handle these projects so its on the side burner
I would go with the DH61AG as the other is much more difficult to...
Thanks Neil, you rock. I am going to buy the new i7 chip and put it in that board as I needed to get some hackintosh up and running as a demo server for some web dev... will reply back in a couple weeks
thanks
You were able to boot and install ML but can not get the install to boot after running Easybeast from MB 5.0.2.
Correct.
Can you still get to the desktop using the Unibeast USB for the boot loader?
Correct.
What CPU are you using?
i5 2405S - same one used in the DH61AG build.
And what...
I have successfully built a hackintosh on the Intel DH61AG board and loved it. When I saw the DQ77KB, I loved the SATA III chipset and dual LAN, so I got one. When I go install Mountain Lion on the new drive, I cannot get it to boot off that drive after using MultiBeast 5.0.2. I DO NOT have a...
Yeah, if you want that board and the Intel HD Graphics 4000, then you would need to get the i7-3770S chip ... which is a bad ass chip if I may say so myself...
no difference between the i5 and the i3? the i5 you have in there is awesome as it runs at 65W max TPD AND has 4 cores... you can run a slim fan in your case because of this awesome low temp performance... and thus is the reason all the chips in the mac minis are 65W max tpd
yeah well it states on Intel's site what power supplies you can use, and none of them are under 120W ... its finding one that fits that is the hard part...
good luck
yeah, that calculator shows it at a Max CPU load ... the new i core chips (sandybridge) and this board (intel DH61AG) is just awesome at drawing low power... I did a lot of research before buying mine... it most cases you are good to go.. i have even read of people buying super cheap dell...
So I have built my DH61AG a few times, this time followed everything in this tutorial to a tee... but i STILL dont have any sound output device ... any ideas?
