HD 3000 graphics were extremely glitchy and would occasionally crash, much more stable with a discrete 1GB GPU.
Did you have to perform any tweaks to get your DVI port working under ML? From following your (very helpful and descriptive) posts, I gather you were always using your DVI before you went to HDMI + DVI.
It seems I only get output from DVI with GraphicsEnabler=No, and I only get HDMI output...

Try all available HDMI/DVI/DP video ports, systematically, and then with/without "GraphicsEnabler=No" flag, shut down each time you swap connectors.
