Not same hardware or even close. I already have a hackintosh setup with 12th gen Intel. He is using an older board and cpu. But will get him there even if I get him to give me remote access to his system to show him as I do it.
I am trying to find out what is the best way to image the boot USB drive? My brother is having trouble with creating a boot usb drive and was wanting to create it for him so he can download it from me and burn it to a USB thumb drive for installation.
Would need to know what program to image...

Yeah I have tried copying the EFI folder from USB over to the EFI on the HDD with no luck which is weird.
As for the other tutorials I can "try"...

Boots up without USB drive after copying EFI from USB...
lol. the drive is plugged in. My laptop has M2 and SATA slot both. The SSD is the SATA one and is plugged in and shows up in MacOS, etc. but it is stumping me why I get this error.

I got rid of this thing. It was given to me for free to fix, which I did, and my older brother needed a laptop so passed it on to him. Works great for what he needs. I am now just concentrating on issues with my MSI laptop. lol

I have the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC with i5-9300H and the MaxQ 1650 and having issues also with it.
I know the Nvidia graphics won't work... That is fine. Just as long as I can get MacOS booted onto it and installed and full working integrated graphics that would be nice.
This is what drives me crazy about Hackintoshes. Get one thing done and a thing that was working before isn't anymore. lol.
Now my Airdrop isn't working. Wifi and BT (headphones and file exchange work fine). Card is BCM94360NG.

I found the issue. I was posting the ID in the wrong part of the config.plist. I forgot to put it in the NVRAM section. put it there as id 13 and internal speakers now working.
