    VoodooI2C Help and Support

Heya, my rig is an ASUS Zenbook PRO UX580GE (I have a thread for this one and there are some of my EFI configs used while I configured it) and is not compatible with yours in many regards, but lets see how can we get your trackpad to work (the screenpad is in most configs linked with the...

    VoodooI2C Help and Support

I can confirm that the same thing is happening here and also sometimes when I boot/reboot the trackpad is unresponsive (I have the driver in EFI/Clover/kexts/other). I will dig into the code and also look in the linux driver code to see if I can find a solution.

Thank you once again @CaseySJ I've made the changes and now I have a working Thunderbolt. At least the speeds shown in system info and the NVME Enclosure now works at 10Gbps (previous was at 480Mbps). I have to find a thunderbolt device to confirm that also. You can add the UX580GE to your list...

    VoodooI2C Help and Support

@boardschauer your hint worked perfectly. Now I have a working trackpad and also a working touch screen with stylus (no more finger touch response) and that is the perfect combo for me. So once again thanks for the hint.

    VoodooI2C Help and Support

@boardschauer thank you for the hint. I will dig into it and see if it works for my rig and if it dose I will check why needs the Touchscreen HID to be removed from the VoodooI2CHID.kext.

Catalina on Asus Zenbook Pro UX580GE

After some time away from my hackintosh projects I've manage to flash a modified Thunderbolt firmware and now I have working TB3 ports with USB 3 hotplug. I've achieved this thanks to @CaseySJ informations posted in "[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580"...

Catalina on Asus Zenbook Pro UX580GE

Hey @S1lla sorry to bother you but as I've written in the previous post I'm reading all the threads that I can find about making the thunderbolt work (a slightly modified version of UX550GE) and while reading the "[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580" I've...

Catalina on Asus Zenbook Pro UX580GE

Hey @Elias64Fr sorry to bother you (and drag you to this thread) but while digging on how to make my ASUS UX580GE thunderbolt work I've stumbled on a few posts made by you and I see that you have(had) a similar laptop (ASUS UX580GD) so I'm wandering if you can help me with my task. As I'm an...

Catalina on Asus Zenbook Pro UX580GE

Hey @surfintheinterweb Thank you for the files. I've checked you DSDT and ioreg and it seems to be exactly the same, so I need to ask you a few questions: - What version of VoodooI2C is the one you use (I'm using the latest - 2.4.3)? - Why did you combine AsusNBFnKeys and AsusSMC ? (both do the...

Catalina on Asus Zenbook Pro UX580GE

For now I did not have time to try opencore. Can you share your EFI folder with the untouched dump of DSDT/SSDTs and a save from IORegistryExplorer? I want to see what is the difference between our machines so I can figure out why my trackpad is not registering any events and maybe in process I...

Catalina on Asus Zenbook Pro UX580GE

Hey @surfintheinterweb The last EFi I have is the one in the #13 post. Look at the _Q0D Method on how I've done the keyboard backlight. For the trackpad I do not have a solution yet as the trackpad in UX580GE is not a standard one so the patch to make it work is not working. I get the kexts to...

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

The screen shots are from AMIBCP done in Windows. I do not know of an app that dose the same thing for MacOS. True, but the manufacturer rolls out new updates to improve some of the features this laptop has and then I need to do them all over again. Thanks for the hints. I will ding into this...

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

Unfortunately no. It has a minimal set of options and for Thunderbolt 3 it has only the security options as it can be seen in attached screenshot But if I open the bios file I have the following hidden options I can do a BIOS mod if it is required but I'd prefer to have stock BIOS and go with...
