    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

I have tested with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD attaching to the back panel Type-C. It seems to be re-mounted after a sleep period and "Do Not Ejected properly" message appears at top-right corner of desktop. Although same happened by connecting the SATA SSD to a back panel Type-A, no warning was shown...

    Asrock Z690 Extreme + 12700K + Rx580 = MacOS Ventura

Thank you for the post. I am glad to know ASRock Z690 Extreme, the beautiful board is working fine. I found that the on-board USB mapping is very similar to that of my Z690 Steel Legend. Seeing the SL's USB map, I guess that the inner pins in USB_3_4 and USB_1_2 are assigned to HS10 and HS12...

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

Thanks for the info. I realized that I had accidentally included old version of USBPorts.kext to the attachment in the first post. I have replaced the attachment to the new version including OpenCore 0.8.3. Would you re-try the newly attached USBPorts.kext ? Sleep is working fine in my current...

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

In which step of the Dortania method do you get into trouble?
  11. bootmacos

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

I have tried the Dortania Guide to download Monterey, and found followings: The method creates FAT32 USB memory with BaseSystem.dmg and BaseSystem.chunklist (I was wrong. This will not boot an actual Mac.) This will not appear at OpenCore boot selection due to the config.plist attached to the...

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

Which version of macOS are you trying? I have tested and found that the EFI boots Monterey USB installer. Is your USB memory bootable on an actual Mac?

macOS Ventura 13 Public Beta worked fine by just replacing OC and kexts with nightly builds.

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

Thanks, HeyItsMeYaBoyyyy and bikinifarm! I also have tried the update (8.01) and confirmed your information. SetupVirtualMap - Set to TRUE was mandatory. As for DevirtualiseMmio - Set to FALSE, it was not necessary as bikinifarm told. However, considering the default (recommended?) value in the...

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

Download the EFI_ASRockZ690SL.zip file attached to the post #1 of this thread, Open the info.plist in the Contents of the USBPorts.kext, by a plist editor or text editor, Edit the HS14 key (for M.2) in the ports section to HS09 or HS10. In case to activate HS10, rename HS14 "key" to HS10...

    macOS 12.2.1 Update

I am happy that no instant-wake issue happens after updating my Z690 build from 12.2 to 12.2.1. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/asrock-z690-steel-legend-wifi-6e.317456/

    ASRock Z690 Steel Legend + 13900KF / 12900K + 6600XT

By updating to Monterey 12.2.1, I found that no instant-wake happens without trickily mapping type-A USB connectors with "Internal". Updated post #1.
