Cannot boot after installing Nvidia Web Driver GTX 750 w/o UseKernelCache=No
Finally seemed to fix all issues!
As for UseKernelCache: Downloaded Kext Utility and repaired permissions. UseKernelCache=Yes now boots.
For slow boot time: In the BIOS I disabled UEFI and used Legacy only, also...
Solving NVIDIA driver install problems
Try booting with UseKernelCache=No. I have the same problem, if I use -x it works but that is sluggish safe mode. UseKernelCache=No boots normal for me but takes longer. See my post here...
My system was working great until I installed my GTX 750 card. I installed the Driver for 10.10.2, plugged in the card and enabled the driver. After rebooting it now is very slow and freezes at boot screen with a circle with a line through it. Using -v is says "still waiting for root device"...
The 13" Macbook Pro is a better deal I think. They do function better than a hackintosh and you get the great hardware that a hackintosh doesn't have. Btw new Macbooks coming out in 2 weeks. WWDC 2013 is in June.
Ever since installing the 10.8.2 revision my Ctrl and Fn keys switched. (Fn is now ctrl and vice versa) The strange thing is that this occurs even in Windows OS. I have to press Fn + C to copy. How can I fix this?

Very nice work. Scrolling seems smoother and the option to turn off the trackpad is awesome. After updating to 10.8.2rev1 my Fn key is now the ctrl key though :( but since this makes the fx keys separate it doesn't matter.
Mine is extremely stable on 10.8 I have gone over a week without shutting down. It's definitely not as smooth as a real Mac but it is smooth. No touchpad gestures (just two finger scrolling) or bounce effect.
I'm on 10.8 still and I realize it may be awhile until the installer gets around to supporting 10.8.2. I can manually apply kexts but I cannot code anything myself. If someone can link me to the posts for fixes or tell me if anything is broken please do.
