Massive thanks @trs96 & @Feartech - an $80 upgrade took me from 50MB/s to 3500MB/s.
All this time I thought it was just a quirk of my build cos those SATA SSD's were solid!
Hey smart hackintosh folk!
I've had this ongoing problem with slow SSD write speed since the day I first did this build in 2021 (from OC 0.7.6 to 0.9.2 currently, and Catalina upgraded through to Ventura).
My write speed has never gone above 45MB/s, and often sits at around 15MB/s until I do a...
Hey thanks @CaseySJ !
No there's plenty of room on my SSD internal drives (500+GB), and I haven't noticed any other file operations run slow (I work with big audio files), though maybe I should stress test this somehow?
Don't see anything weird happening in iStat, and this occurs regardless of...
Hey everyone - reaching out in case anyone has experienced something similar...
Extracting .zip's using macOS Archive Utility (or a third party app like Keka) is nightmarishly slow for me. Like a fairly small 500MB ZIP file can take 4-5mins to extract, and during this time my system goes fairly...
Hey @CaseySJ
So I've now realized months on from doing my build, that I was actually delivered an i7-10700KF rather than K only - meaning no iGPU for me.
I'm using iMac20,1 as my system - is there anything I should be aware of in terms of how my OC is configured?
Thanks for your time!
Hey @CaseySJ - I gave both these options a go, but no luck. Enabling CSM did cause the 'Initial Display Output' selection to appear, which contained PCIe Slots 1-3... but there was still no option for Internal Graphics to be enabled anywhere.
I definitely have a 10700K that supports video...
Hey @CaseySJ - Any reason you could think why 'Internal Graphics' wouldn't be appearing in the BIOS on my Vision G / 10700k config? Have tried updating BIOS but no change.
Thanks for this info!
Strange issue for me - I have no 'Integrated Graphics' option anywhere in my BIOS. I'm Vision G and tried with both F8 and F20 firmware but it doesn't appear. If I plug in to integrated HDMI there's no output.
Yeah I have a really healthy connection so no issue there. This is actually reassuring seeing someone else with same issue cos I've been going crazy trying to troubleshoot.
@ThrasherOSX please remember me if you figure it out!
Yes I have exact same FaceTime issue. Caller can see me but I never get video back, only 'Poor Connection'.
Tried all the OpenCore iServices fixes and the tonymac iMessage/Facetime guides but no luck yet.
Big Sur 11.6 / OC 0.7.5
Hey wise one @CaseySJ - should I be concerned at all about this error that OC Validator is reporting on my config.plist:
Original path: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1C,0x1)/Pci(0x0, 0x0)
Path after internal conversion: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1C,0x1)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
DeviceProperties->Add[0]->DevicePath is borked!
Hey iMessage problem solvers. My build won't deliver messages until I've sent something from another iOS device first to 'open the gate' I guess you could say.
To elaborate:
I start the day and send Person A a message from my Hackintosh. It sits there without showing 'Delivered'. I then go to...
I'm having a strange quirk with my Fenvi T919 WiFi/BT card where every time I use heavy upload bandwidth on my wifi, it causes major dropouts on my bluetooth devices. Heavy download bandwidth has no effect though, so weird!
Just an observation to add to the reported quirks with the Fenvi, maybe...
Just wondering if anyone out there on Big Sur 11.6 is experiencing issues with FaceTime only - where your video will transmit to the recipient fine, but you don't receive any video back. Instead just get the 'Poor Connection' message.
All other iServices running correctly (iMessage, App Store...
@CaseySJ On Vision G with Big Sur 11.6 and I'm having an issue with getting FaceTime working, however iMessage & App Store are totally fine.
Following your notes back on page 199 - did fresh serial/UUID/ROM etc, it's a valid serial (not used) on Apple coverage checker, my ethernet is set to...
Hey @CaseySJ - saw you comment earlier that iStatMenus may trigger some issues due to fan control. Wondering if you have a recommendation for a good macOS hardware monitor that has no interference? I love watching what my build is up to.
Also, the Thunderbolt 3 SSDT that you made @leekh3 and I...
@leekh3 I have the same Vision G and GC-Titan Ridge (rev 2) and managed to connect the 3pin and 5pin thunderbolt headers to my motherboard fine (the 5-pin one was a little tricky). That seems strange that yours doesn't fit!
Hmmm I'm running Vision G on BIOS F5 and everything is fine, but now that I know @leekh3 is running on F8C... I'm REALLYYY going to struggle avoiding temptation to update :lol:
