i5-7200U Kaby Lake Big Sur Kernel Panics (0xffffff7f90758279)

I’ve only got a basic knowledge on Hackintosh, and how it works. I apologize for any errors I make or anything I say. I basically meant, every other version except Big Sur is showing me the MacOS Utilities window, and I wanted to know why that is. For example, I tried Catalina, High Sierra...

I’ll try your EFI as said, and will update you. I see that you use Clover instead of OpenCore, so I’ll have to make some adjustments.

Enabling LapicKernelPanic, Unblockfsrequest and ReleaseUSBOwnership did absolutely nothing to help my graphic error. I still see a grey screen with the black OS X cursor. OC 0.7.0 with latest MacOS version (Big Sur)

I used macrecovery.py and I’m getting to the MacOS utilities window on Sierra. Possibly something wrong with my base recovery DMG for BigSur? Also, I cant click continue, nothing happens when I do.

Updating to OC 0.7.0 solved nothing for me, I think I've got the device-id or platform-id wrong somehow, I'm going to troubleshoot with it.

I used gensmbios to use MacBookPro14,1 and I’m getting the same graphical error. I’m going to try different versions of OS X with OC 0.6.6 and this EFI, and update you.

@Feartech UPDATE: Getting the same grey screen with black OS X cursor. Should I try installing a older version of OS X instead? Such as High Sierra or Sierra. I feel like Big Sur might be incompatible with something graphically, which is producing the screen.

Trying the 16590000 for device-id since I got the same old grey screen. I wouldn’t need layout-id for the iGPU PCI since it’s audio, correct?

layout-id came with the OC 0.6.6 Vanilla config.plist I'm going to go with this, and try booting into OSX again.

@Feartech Added my Device ID, platform ID, and more. Still getting same grey screen with the black OS X cursor. I noticed a frame rate drop and it was laggy and slowish while I moved the cursor however.

I'm using a HP Pavillion AIO desktop, my processor is i5-7200U, I'm not sure if it's mobile processor since everything's built in. I found my UHD device ID through Device Manager, and I'm adding 00005916 to my config.plist, I'll reply back here if I get any success.

I've added ig-platform-id "00001659" and model "Intel HD Graphics 620" and the Internal@0,2,0 string FearTech has for telling OpenCore what to operate with, for extra success how do I find my Device ID?

I haven't changed any vanilla boot args, anything like that. It seems that Verbose mode was already on, and I do see the scrolling text whipping by before the Apple Logo comes up. Here's my EFI folder. Config is within OC, redacted my serial number & system UUID.

Took a guess, and it seemed that me & Feartech had the same iGPU PCI address. 0x2 because of Integrated graphics. I have Intel HD 620 while he has 530. Got some type of success now! FINALLY! I see the OS X logo booting up, however I’m stuck at a grey screen with the black mouse. No disk utility...

Oh, I see. I would need to find the PCI addresses for my GPU and then add the framebuffer patches there? I'm pretty sure the PCI address is not 0x1b, 0x0.

Like you said, I added the framebuffer patches in my Config.plist and I got past the Kernel Panic, now I'm stuck at IOPFF and my installer won't boot after this. It takes a extremely long time, and still won't boot.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I can't find a BIOS version, or get into advanced mode to set my DVMT to 64MB. I have BIOS F.41 and If I update to F.50 it might be incompatible with some of my drivers, or possibly brick my desktop. Is this an dead-end? I wanted to follow the EFI DVMT tutorial...
