I can also vouch for BIOS F28.
Side note: My iMessage remains completely dead on this hack, but that happened long after installing F28 :(
Update: iMessage has been fixed! I changed Platform Info once again, but this time, also took a chainsaw to the both Library and misc identity keys.
Just tried without success: Removed device from Apple ID, signed out of iCloud, and then generated all new values for Platform ID (SN, MLB, UUID, etc). Signed back into iCloud and still have issues (although now, it's at least attempting to send via SMS). Any ideas?
The company (started by Eric Migicovsky, the founder of Pebble) recently made headlines over enabling iMessage via app. In response, Apple has cut them off and started banning associated hardware via S/N. I have never touched Beeper Mini, but it's possible that Apple has gone through and audited...
Has anyone's iMessage randomly stopped working recently? Mine hasn't worked correctly for a week despite doing all the usual troubleshooting steps (disabling Message in iCloud, signing out of Apple ID completely, resetting NVRAM, etc). Messages will randomly sync, but nothing will send...
I updated within the app to 2.1.9 and it’s no longer opening from the Applications folder
Edit: Sorry for the false alarm, and thank you for the app. Uninstalled/reinstalled HackinDROM + restarted system a bunch of times, and it started working. *shrug*
New setup complete! Took several hours, but I finally got everything to work. It was my first time using Migration Assistant (via ethernet) to transfer data over, which was so much better than doing everything manually.
So far, the only thing I'm missing is a way to monitor CPU clock frequency...
Disregard, fake news. After four hours of troubleshooting different combinations of OpenCore and Gigabyte BIOS versions, I finally realized that the 5700 XT that I'm using for setup doesn't have ReBar. Changed the corresponding options back to Disabled, and I think I finally got it working...
How did everyone get things working with BIOS F20-F22?
I was trying to fresh install Ventura last night on a new machine (13900K), and the installation wouldn’t even proceed past the Aero splash screen until I rolled all the way back to F8.
Now that I have Ventura installed, my next move is to...
I'd really like to upgrade to a new Alder Lake/Raptor Lake system if there's a compelling golden build by @CaseySJ, with widespread community adoption, but I'm hesitant because the support in this thread is just too good. 3657 thread pages and counting, wow.
You claimed that you would post a guide "soon," which I took to mean "several days or weeks," but I saw that you already posted it earlier this morning. Thank you. I followed your instructions, and successfully reset NVRAM on OpenCore 0.8.2.
I've searched through this thread, but I can't seem to find the solution to this specific issue:
I've been using Hackindrom (currently v2.1.3) for my EFI, and OpenCore is updated to 0.8.2. With the exception of a custom SoftPowerPlay table for my GPU, I haven't changed much, if anything, from...
Ah, you're a wizard. That did it, thank you.
I updated to OpenCore 0.7.2, disabled LauncherOption, reset NVRAM, and the Windows Bootloader instantly showed up upon re-entering the BIOS.
Yup 100%. It's very strange -- not sure what to make of it.
The m.2 is obviously detected by the motherboard, but it just doesn't show up as a Boot option.
I'm on OpenCore 0.7.0 + Big Sur 11.5 and everything has been great so far.
Just one strange hiccup: I have Windows 10 installed on a separate drive, but Windows Bootloader doesn't appear as a boot option in BIOS. I can boot it from OpenCore, but I haven't been able to figure out how to boot...
Haha thanks! But perhaps hold off on the forgiveness for now. I haven't started the (re-)build with the new board yet, so there's plenty of time left for stupid questions. ;)
Yep, sorry, I get usually get annoyed at people who ask for readily available information that's right in front of their noses. But that was me today. Will read more carefully next time!
Does anyone have an unmodded F9i BIOS to share? Gigabyte has pulled it from their site and the only options are F9j and F8.
I saw that someone posted a modded version with updated microcode, but I would prefer an unmodified version. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Of course, I was able to download...
