    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Hi. I know this was posted more than 2 years ago, but am wondering if you would give me more information about this workaround. I recently switched from Intel Hackintosh to Ryzen and got really hard times that TopazLab apps/photoshop plug-ins stopped working. I'm really looking forward to...

The Dell OptiMac Big Sur/OpenCore Thread - For 7020/9020 Optiplex Desktops

It seems that my previous post saying "problem solved" has been removed since there was my serial number in a picture posted. It was very easy problem to fix - I have 2 SSDs and I and both 2 apps installed up-to-date OC on the wrong SSD. Weirdly HackinDROM recognized 0.7.1 as up-to-date and...

The Dell OptiMac Big Sur/OpenCore Thread - For 7020/9020 Optiplex Desktops

I have followed this guide, as well as tried OCAuxiliaryTools and OpenCore Updater to update OC from 0.7.1 to 0.8.6. However, none of them succeeded. In all attempts, My OptiMac booted with OC 0.7.1, although all the related update files were placed in EFI and NVRAM was cleared. I also tried OC...

The Dell OptiMac Big Sur/OpenCore Thread - For 7020/9020 Optiplex Desktops

Hi all, I'm planning to update from Big Sur to Monterey, so I think I need to update OpenCore from 0.7.1 to a newer one. This is my first attempt to update OpenCore. I will follow the official guide but are there any Optimac-specific tweaks needed? Attached is my EFI, FYI. Thank you!

The Dell OptiMac Big Sur/OpenCore Thread - For 7020/9020 Optiplex Desktops

Hi folks, I recently got interested to install M.2 PCIe NVME adapter on my Optimac 9020 MT. As you know, PCIe x1 is not available if you install a certain size GPU in PCIe x16. Also, my PCIe x4 has Fenvi WiFi+Bluetooth card. So, I ordered 90 degrees angled PCIe x1 extender in order to see if I...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Okay it seems okay on Big Sur I've tried all RX-580 X Gaming 8GB firmware on https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?manufacturer=MSI&model=RX+580 but none of them worked out. So I decided to stay having my RX-470 as RX-570. Attached files are that showing the GPU is properly recognized on Big Sur...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Hello folks. It's been a while. I'm trying to do some tweaks on RX-470. I've flashed its firmware over with RX-570 one. So far, it's recognized on Windows 10 and working as if nothing happened. I'm going back to my Big Sur to see how it goes, and will try to make the GPU into RX-580. I'll keep...

The Dell OptiMac Big Sur/OpenCore Thread - For 7020/9020 Optiplex Desktops

"Sleep Wake" failure in EFI has come back... Failure code:: 0x00000000 0x0000001f As I have AMD GPU, I don't use actual "sleep" but only turn the displays off by using hot corners or set display automatically turned off in Energy Saver setting. There has been no problem with this setting both...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Instead of upgrading Big Sur to Monterey, I have completed a dual boot configuration for Windows 10, that neglected more than a year. My Windows 10 is on a different SSD in MBR. Every time I needed to use it, I went to BIOS and turn Legacy Boot ROM on then pressed F12 to select Win 10 volume...

Thanks! I completely overlooked that thread (classic me). Actually, I did some research and ended up not upgrading my OptiMac to Monterey. I agree with trs96; no Monterey features to appeal to me so far...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

I made it! Now I'm migrating apps and settings from Catalina. Yes. After doing this, I reboot OptiMac only with the installer USB and Big Sur SSD. However, it ended up loop of command line (refer to the picture below) and reboot. Couldn't reach OC's GUI/CUI menu. I took a chance that...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Thank you. I've put in my EFI after updating with my serials and rebooted, installed Big Sur onto the target SSD (listed as "Big Sur" in the screenshot below). The installer rebooted my OptiMac, but it can't be booted from the target SSD. I checked boot sequence on BIOS. There is only Catalina...

I’ve done all the steps in the instruction and boot from the install USB and got this screen. Entered modGRUBShell.efl and have done all changes. Then exited from the shell and reboot. Reset NVRAM and reboot then got the same screen posted below. Entered EFI but got just black screen. Wait there...

Sorry, I missed that part. I was trying to do it on Catalina because I thought it was required to create a Bootable Big Sur installer on a USB.

On Catalina, I'm trying to generate SMBIOS for Big Sur's EFI by using GenSMBIOS following the instruction video. I have logged out from iCloud. but, GenSMBIOS gets an error as follows: Did I miss something?

I've got a question. I want to run my Hackintosh headless. I can't find PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) in my config.plist. Is that something I need to create a new child under Root > DeviceProperties > Delete?
