Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Hey guys, I just published the video of my build. I share it with you, if it can help :) It can maybe be linked to this post, what do you think? https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/gigabyte-z490-vision-d-thunderbolt-3-i5-10400-amd-rx-580.298642/#post-2128415 Thanks!

Apparently we can with this tool! Thanks anyway, I'll stay as is for now. If somebody has any idea, feel free to share :) Thanks!

    Hydro H115i Pro RGB

Thanks a lot! By removing the port (-), it works (ie it don't wake from sleep immediately because of the Hydro)... ... but this port is no longer usable in macOS, and that's not what I want. I still want to be able to use that USB port in macOS, but just disable the wake from sleep on that port...

    Hydro H115i Pro RGB

Thanks! Do I also need to add generated `.aml` and `.dsl` files? I set relevant port to "Internal" in Hackintool, then clicked on "Export", added the generated Kext in OC/Kexts, updating the config.plist to add this Kext to the config.plist using OpenCore Configurator Kernel/Add but it doesn't...

    Hydro H115i Pro RGB

Thanks @HawkTron, I'll try that. I guess you deleted the USBInjectAll.kext file in the OC/Kexts folder and replaced by the USBPorts.kext generated by Hackintool? Do you need to link the new file somewhere, or does the system load every kext files present in the OC/Kexts folder? Thanks a lot!

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Hi @dadmac, I basically followed this guide using Big Sure (but it also works with Catalina) with OpenCore 0.6.5. I plugged my monitor on the HDMI port of the Gygabite Z490 Vision D and have chosen the config-Intel-iGPU.plist file. If think it's worthless I send you my EFI folder as it's...

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Oh ok, that's why it seems as little bit laggy. Yea that's why I plan to order one, plus it's cheaper than a RX 6800 XT or even a RX 5700 XT. But since yesterday, the RX580 is out of stock in a lot of resellers, so I'm waiting... :)

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Hi guys, To keep you updated (in case it can help others): It works! No GPU, only using the iGPU of the i9 with a 4K monitor plugged in. It's usable even if the refresh rate seems a bit low. Here is my final config: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z490 Vision D CPU: Intel i9 10850K CPU cooling: Corsair...

    Hydro H115i Pro RGB

Hi guys, Sorry in advance to reply to this very old thread... I'm facing the exact same issue: using H115i RGB Platinium, with the pump connected to a motherboard USB port to monitor FAN/pump speed and setup colors. It wakes up from sleep immediately because of this USB connection. When I unplug...

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Hi guys, I made some changes. CPU cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H115i Platinum (seems to have a better support than H100i) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (seems to have better performances) SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 510GB (the PRO version seems to have some issues) What you do think? Thanks!

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Perfect. I'd like to start with this configuration, what do you think? Motherboard: Gigabyte Z490 Vision D CPU: Intel i9 10850K CPU cooling: Corsair iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2666MHz 32GB SSD: Samsung 970 PRO 512GB Which power supply do you advise (don't forget that I'll...

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Oh yeah, you’re right! I forgot that... In the case where Rocket Lake are supported, will I be able to use a Rocket Lake CPU on the Z490? According to this post, it seems it will be possible, but I’d like to be sure to understand it correctly. Thanks!

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Thanks! That's a good news! I'll probably wait for Rocket Lake as I can wait until the beginning of 2021. (plus when Rocket Lake will be release, the RX 6800 XT will probably be supported on Big Sure! [fingers crossed]) I'll keep you inform and probably ask your opinion about my components...

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Thanks a lot for your reply @scottkendall! What's exactly a "golden build"? I saw there's a golden build thread on the forum but I'm not sure to understand exactly what it is. Is it a combination of components which works together to build a hackintosh? Or does it mean that there is a specific...

Hackintosh with no GPU (at the moment...)

Hi guys! I'm very excited to be part of this forum. I'm not really new in the hackintosh world as I previous (few years ago) tried to build an hackintosh. At this time, it was Snow Leopard and I think it was much more complicated than today! I'm posting today because I'd like to build an...
