Hi @CaseySJ,
I have finally updated to Monterey and OC .7.7.0. But now, my startup time is between 3-5minutes long. Not sure what's going on. Can you help me please?
So I think I know what’s happening. The second part of the installation is not happening. Like there is a mounted installer that I can see on my bootable drive but it doesn’t show up in OC.
I deleted the bootable backup and created a time machine one. So I think I might just create a bootable...
yes I put it in the internal ssd. So I pressed F12 at startup and selected the SSD and its up and running in OC 0.7.6. Im going to try and upgrade to Monterey.
I think having the bootable backup messed things up a little since they both have the same name. idk
I dont see anything in the bottom right hand corner and I am definitely booting to the correct drive because the backup drive is a HDD not a NVME. When I boot tot he HDD it is slower than molasses LOL.
Ok I did everything. and it loaded just fine using the efi on the USB. However, when I copied the EFI from the USB to my boot drive, OC reverted back to 0.6.3
Thank you so much! I keep getting an error when I try to mount the EFI portion of the flash drive. It says no EFI exists and exits out.
Edit 1: Tried a different usb drive and I was able to mount an efi
Thats so weird because I got OC 0.7.6 from https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/releases/tag/0.7.6 but I will try the one attached to this thread.
When you say boot from he USB flash, should the flash drive have the Monterey installer on it?
