Surface Pro 7 HiDPI not working

@PacMan If I find a solution I will let you know, thank you I have tried making it sleep and then changing the resolution after waking up, but it made no difference. @jarvay I see that you have an i5-1035G4 too, are you able to set the resolution to something as high as 2736x1824 without...

Surface Pro 7 HiDPI not working

After changing the resolution to 2736 x 1824 (which is the default screen resolution of the surface pro 7), I found out that the screen also flickers. So I think the issue is not related to HiDPI. When using a lower resolution (such as 1368x912 without HiDPI of course) there is no flicker. Is...

Surface Pro 7 HiDPI not working

Still no difference with those boot arguments, but I got the weird mouse fixed with a framebuffer patch <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key> <data>AABSig==</data>...

Surface Pro 7 HiDPI not working

I managed to install Catalina 10.15.7 on my Surface Pro 7, with working graphics acceleration. But when setting the resolution to 1368x912 HiDPI (which is preferred), the screen starts flickering. Selecting any other non-HiDPI resolution does not have this issue. Also my mouse looks like a weird...

<< Solved >> Trying to upgrade from El Capitan "still waiting for root device"

Fixed! After some tries I found the fix, the only thing needed was turning on the patch "0105 instead of 0306, HDMI" and after that HDMI works!

<< Solved >> Trying to upgrade from El Capitan "still waiting for root device"

Update: I decided to prepare a Catalina install USB to try to reinstall the whole system. But surprisingly I was able to boot into the installer without problems and upgrade my existing El Capitan install to Catalina! After fixing multiple issues such as audio and brightness, I am now left with...

<< Solved >> Trying to upgrade from El Capitan "still waiting for root device"

Hello, I am trying to upgrade from El Capitan to Catalina. I was trying to follow the following guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/update-directly-to-macos-catalina.284463/, but I got stuck at booting the Catalina installer. I updated Clover to the latest version as well as FakeSMC and...
