    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

So I did some experimenting: 1) I used the old card in a PCIe adapter and tried that - NO DICE 2) I put the old card in a M2 adapter and into the rear M2 slot - WIFI WORKS Now I just need to put the antenna headers in because my bluetooth keeps crapping out. Never a dull moment eh? The reason I...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Well my initial one was a 3460CS2 in a pcie adapter (previously in M2 slot). Then I bought the following Fenvi because it wasn’t working but had the same issues. PCI-E WiFi Card for MacOS Windows 802.11a/g/n/ac BT 4.0 PCI-E PCI Network Adapter mac-Compatible Wi-Fi AirDrop Handoff Instant...

Settings are as you specified and I used a live disk of Ubuntu to confirm that wifi doesn’t show up.

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

It seems MacOS is not detecting it then, as I only see Bluetooth and Ethernet as options. I'd like to rule out hardware issues... Is it possible my SMBIOS (iMac19,1) is not allowing my PCIe card to be read? Or the version of Big Sur? Are there any settings that would cause the PCI expansion...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

@pastrychef It does look like deleting the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration files removed WiFi from my system. Where do we go from here?

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

I reset BIOS settings and went one by one with the recommendations from the guide. With WiFi enabled, it pulls up the following, which is the onboard wifi, but I'd really like to use the Fenvi card. I have a single PCI slot on my mobo (x16). Do you know of any issues running x1 cards on it? I...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

It's not showing anything in the PCI section of SysInfo, and I don't think it appears in Hackintool either (output attached). I feel like I've gone one step back. Should I revert anything? I did notice that WifI is disabled in my bios, but I think that's just the Intel onboard wifi which I want...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Ok. just did that and now WiFi doesn't appear in Network Preferences at all. Not sure where to go from there. How can I tell if the pcie is picking up the wifi? Bluetooth in the same card is working, but I think that's because it's via USB.

@pastrychef I had to use these instructions to set CFG Lock to 0, which I've done, and also set the two cfg entries to "false" in the config.plist. Still don't have any wifi connectivity though.

I have the itx version of the board, which has its own bios releases. Of the two cfg entries in the screen I shared, which ones should be enabled or disabled?

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

I don’t see the option in my bios. Will the config.plist suffice? I see two options, should they both be disabled? The guide I followed said to enable the xpcmcfglock if you don’t see cfg lock in bios.

Bluetooth working, but wifi in same card is not working Description of WiFi/Bluetooth problem: I had Catalina running with everything more or less functional, but wanted to optimize my build so I did a clean install of latest OC with Big Sur. I have a BCM94360CS2, which was running in M2 slot...

Working Wifi and BT via m.2 for Gigabyte Z390 I Aorus Pro Wifi

@Kenop it works now, thanks! I had a faulty adapter, it would seem. Now I’m trying to solve a couple of new problems, specifically waking from sleep using Bluetooth keyboard (and to a lesser extent enabling wake on WiFi). Do you have any experience with those issues?

BCM96360CS2 Bluetooth keyboard can't wake mac + no wake on wifi option

Hi there, I have my build mostly working now! I was able to get the "native" Broadcom wifi/bt module to work via M2 adapter. Connectivity and sleep work fine. Yay! 1) Now I'm trying to get my BT keyboard and/or mouse to wake up my computer, but I haven't been able to. I used hackintool to...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

    1. I have a BCM94360CS2 and am using an NGFF (?) to M2 adapter in the M2 key M slot on the back of the motherboard. At first neither Bluetooth nor Wifi worked, but I was able to get native BT to work (works in BIOS) by remapping my USB ports. Range was very poor (~1ft), but improved after...

Working Wifi and BT via m.2 for Gigabyte Z390 I Aorus Pro Wifi

Hey @Kenop . I installed the CS2 via the m2 adapter you mentioned. Blue light is on so it’s getting power, but so far no WiFi no Bluetooth. I want to use the new device for both so I disabled WiFi in bios. I also made sure to enable HS12 via hackintool as that’s the f_usb1 controller. I’m...

@Kenop Is there any difference between using this in the front m2 slot vs the rear one? I want to do this, but I want to protect my ssd in the front slot with the heat sink
