ALC889HDA on Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 (not working)

As in the whole IOReg or just the audio bit? Uploaded the whole just in case. Thanks guys. GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 Mac Pro.zip If possible HDMI audio would be main priority but if not possible then green jack output will do of course :)

ALC889HDA on Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 (not working)

Hm thanks for your post, my icon is not greyed out, but no outputs work, see attached screenshot below. As you can see I have internal speakers, two Line outs and the Optical (which I haven't tested but don't have a cable anyway). None of them work when playing music or anything. Even checked...

ALC889HDA on Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 (not working)

I have indeed, done it every way I could possibly think of, using every tool that exists. Still nothing. I don't want to do a new install of Lion as I've only just got App Store working for the first time in months... But that's worse case scenario. I had seen your thread, appears many have...

ALC889HDA on Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 (not working)

Ok I really didn't want to start a thread on this but seems like I'm the only one who can't get this working :x :banghead: So I've got said motherboard, F9 to match DSDT from the database (Haven't modified it myself). But sound has never worked on it :( I delete the old kexts from...

    New system

Sounds tricky, I'd now go with something in the dsdt section as said, so I won't be bothering with that motherboard for mine..

    Intel Motherboard + i5?

Yeah I had a little thought about that last night.. Would probably be easier to separate things and get one thing working at a time I guess.. Fair enough I guess, and thanks OldFred :) will probably go with a gigabyte that is in the dsdt section :) samisnake, the link does not work, but I can...

    Intel Motherboard + i5?

I am planning on making a hackintosh, but I am in the UK and motherboard choice is awkward as Gigabyte aren't as common.. (No one I know has one) So there is this Intel Motherboard [DP67BG Extreme Series - Desktop]...

    My shopping list... Need recommendations

I am planning on creating a Hackintosh using the Intel i5 2500K as I've seen many people use them in their hackintosh, and Apple use Sandy Bridge processors now, so there is out of the box support for them.. Ram looks good, but make sure it's properly supported by the motherboard (probably is)...

    First new hackintosh from UK

I also live in the UK and have found it a bit tricky to get similar components but your list looks good :) similar to my work in progress :) One thing I want to point out is that I plan on using an Intel motherboard rather than a Gigabyte one, as I can't find a Gigabyte one that has onboard...
