Yeah, it goes into the logger utility with the same error, and yes, de-powering it and using the iGPU fixed it. I'm currently reading up on other threads to see if I've missed anything. I can see lots of 5700 XT users have been upgrading fine. I'll post an update here in the next few days if...

Following as I'm having the same issue updating to 10.15.5 supplemental. I managed to update to 10.15.5 but only after I unplugged the 5700 TX, then replugged it after the update. I would very much like to get it to update correctly without having to unplug it again.

Solved. Opted to install Catalina instead

Thanks @Namok88. I got around to making a SSDT-UIAC yesterday. Nice to hit those USB 3 speeds. I'll see if thats made any improvements before I do a new post. This is my first Hackintosh build. So it's bound to have some bugs.

Thanks both! I managed to get it updated yesterday by taking it out and using the iGPU. I believe my Kexts are up to date. I've been having experiences of lag in the macos gui. (this was the same before the update). So there is something not correct in my setup. Would either of you be able to help?

Finally got it installed after days of trying. In the end I had to unplug my 5700 XT and do the update using the onboard graphics. Plugged the 5700 XT back in and woking okay so far!

Machine only boots up to 10.15.4 after restart. Tried to manually select install boot option. Installation failed. Please see attached installer log. Clover is 5118. Thanks
