[Guide] Booting The USB Installer Using OpenCore

Ok gave it a try and it went into the install. I can't believe something so tiny as that caused the whole issue. Now, hopefully, once Monterey installs I still have Bluetooth. Thank you again Feartech you are a saint. I had decided to do this based on another forum I found recently where...

[Guide] Booting The USB Installer Using OpenCore

EFI attached. I mapped my usb ports exactly as you had advised removed all the white unknown ones and made the USB kexts file. Now I am not using a USB stick in anyway with the upgrade everything i read said i should just be able to update from within the system like a normal mac that is correct?

So i made the changes and everything seems to be fine except i get the below error, it goes by so fast you hardly notice it, I am assuming change the entry in Security to False from try and that should fix it And also about the mindate and version to -1, when i update to Monterey will i be able...

[Guide] Booting The USB Installer Using OpenCore

Thanks for the tip on the above, i got the sound working now. So the only things I think i have left to get working is Bluetooth and the audio/mic jack isn't working. Those 2 things aren't super important. One other question, once I have my usb ports mapped and the usb kext setup, can i just...

Thanks again, the nvram thing is what i was missing. Now i just need to figure out how to get my Audio working, i completly forgot to check that information before setting up, so i am either going to have to create a boot usb for windows/linux or throw in the old hdd that i kept with win 11...

Ok maybe that's the one thing i was missing i didn't realise to reset the nvram. So would i do the EFI changes, boot back into the US reset the nvram, then do a reboot without the usb and see if it all worked? And sorry I meant I got stuck as in not knowing what i was not doing. If I get...

[Guide] Booting The USB Installer Using OpenCore

I plan on giving it another try, everything was working as long as I booted from the USB.
