    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

Still no joy. I've not spent a lot of time trying to work it out. The whole thing drained me and just accepted my remaining issues (safe mode issue, sleep crashes system, cleanup boot options) for now, but I do plan to investigate them soon. Will report back if I get anywhere.

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

Can you describe this process? I'd like to give this a go, but I've no idea where to start. Thanks.

    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

I'm running the Fenvi T919 with success. No issues with Bluetooth or WiFi. I've disabled the onboard WiFi, and am using the Fenvi device in both macOS and Windows.

First build (Photo editing and gaming)

I actually just minutes ago updated my post that I linked to earlier with details of the dual boot. I also mentioned about PCIe vs SATA. I too made the mistake and was able to return my SATA M.2 drive and bought a Crucial 1TB PCIe M.2 instead. I read all the guides and I just found it easier...

First build (Photo editing and gaming)

I had exactly the same issue, when booting from USB worked and loaded fast, via SSD it wouldn't boot beyond the apple logo and the progress bar would advance at a snails pace. Remember to apply the ASUS_ACPI patch to the SSD for starters. Maybe checkout my full post you might find something...

@Inuthedog, great. I had success, eventually, and have only 2 relatively small issues. How did things go with your build?

    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

@MacMan do you have any issues with sleep/wake, and if you restart or shutdown does your BIOS enter safe mode on next boot? Also, massive thanks to your guide, I've a very similar hardware setup (Z390M), and aside from those two relatively small issues, everything is working fantastic, so...

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

Confirmed to both be identical: Clover revision: 5107 (HEAD, commit a3f3053c3) Build: 2020-03-24 16:23:04 Running on: EFI REvision 2.70 Platform: x86_64 (64 bit) Firmware: American Megatrends rev 5.0013 Sleep seemed worse on the USB boot, ultimately with a system reset and then BIOS in safe mode.

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

My understanding was that the SSDT "Z390 Series NVRAM Support" provides support for native NVRAM? (which is an option within MultiBeast). If I've misunderstood, how do you achieve native NVRAM on Z390 series boards? I'll test the sleep from the USB and report back.

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

I've now archived both the USB EFI and the SSD EFI. 1. macOS Catalina 10.15.4 (19E287), Kernel Darwin 19.4.0 2. I used UniBeast 10.1.0 and MultiBeast 12.1.0, the Clover version is 5107 on both USB and SSD EFI. I never installed Clover directly, should I have done? I'm going to reboot to check...

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

Thanks @NZRichard... I've not long worked out the issue, quite a silly mistake on my part. I hadn't applied the ASUS_ACPI patch to the SSD EFI which I had done earlier against the USB EFI. Doing this has fixed the boot issue. My next step was going to be to do as you described, but it looks like...

    No boot after MultiBeast

OK, so I worked it out... I hadn't applied the ASUS_ACPI patch to the SSD EFI as was done on the USB EFI. As suggested, my next step was going to be top copy the EFI folder and use Clover Configurator to tweak the auto loading. Thanks all.

    No boot after MultiBeast

Hi all. First off, so as not to duplicate lots of information, I've been detailing my build/install process here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/macmans-build-asus-tuf-z390-pro-gaming-i9-9900k-vega-64-updated-for-10-14-6-and-nvram-support.275272/page-28#post-2112221 In summary, I have (I...

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

So, I finally received the last of the parts on Friday. I've literally spent all weekend trying to get either Mojave or Catalina installed. Both keep freezing at the 2 minute mark during the first stage of the install. Any one experience that? To minimise duplication I posted full details...

    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

Thanks for your suggestion. Keeping all else the same and changing the value from "XMP I" to "Auto", and, unfortunately, it crashed at this time "3 minutes remaining" with last log lines being: osishelperd[667]: +[IA_IASBlessUtilities setEFIBackupBootDevice]: efi-boot-device isn't set...

    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

Updated with details of successful build/installation Hi all, I've created a very similar build and have been attempting Mojave and Catalina installs all weekend. I wanted to exhaust all options that I understand and can follow from the various replies on this thread before seeking help. Both...

Hey @Inuthedog, I seem to be going for a very similar build, in the end what PSU did you go for? When it comes to the PSU is there anything in particular that you need to look out for? If you're interested, my potential build would be...

    [SUCCESS] ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING - i7 9700K - RX 580

Hey all. I'm looking to make my first build, which includes "ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING (Wi-Fi)". I've a few queries: 1. This mobo has a wifi and a non-wifi version, any preference of one over the other? 2. Does the S1200A audio chipset work OK in Catalina? 3. Are there any reports of a working...
