UPDATED/solved
Just connect RED with RED, BLACK with BLACK, WHITE with WHITE and GREEN (from USB side) to YELLOW (from FENVI female plug).
That's it. Works like a charm!
Old post:
Yeah, there was a black 9 pin connector linking to front 2.0 USB ports, but it was different from what I guess is the "standard" for mainboards. Just like as @trs96 explained.
I’m going forward in my upgrading journey... The FENVI-HB1200 arrived.
I put it in the 4x PCi and WiFi works!
No Bluetooth... does it need internal USB port? And if yes, how I connect it? I see only 2 ports linked to front USB. But the plug on the cable provided by FENVi is not suitable...
I’ve just ordered a new one for less than 80 dollars on Aliexpress... It’s shipping directly from China to Italy, taking more than 3 weeks!
As soon as this purple abomination is in my hands, I’ll let you know!
Oh, shame... you’re right. I checked. It was a great deal...
Which kind of adapter? Is it like modding the case? Is there any reference or guide?
I know I’m a noob, but I got plenty of time due to Covid-19...
@trs96 So a Nvidia Quadro K2000 would definitely fit in my Dell 9020 Sff and work under Catilina directly? Sorry to push, but I found one at 45 euros...!
An external GPU? Mmm... what about a Quadro K2000 (not the “D” version).
Found one dirty cheap... is it a decent choice for Catalina? Would PSU be enough?
I know it’s no fast... I’m looking for an alternative to HD4600 suitable for some light gaming. Possibly under 100 dollars. In Europe cards are much more expensive, even used ones. I was after a Rx 560 but it’s not so cheap and then I have the pci x4 slot already occupied by a fenvi FV-HB12000...
Hello again...
What do you think of a Nvidia GT 730? It’s not listed among upgrades on the first post page.
it’s a low profile, single slot, based on Kepler, cheap and quite more powerful than 710.

Would it work with Catalina?
@nicksoph I did look at those entries. Here's what the Config.plist attached to your thread has for ALC280:
<key>PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x1b,0)</key>
<dict>
<key>#Comment</key>
<string>Realtek ALC280 Audio Configuration</string>...
SOLVED at last.
If any other encounters same issue... Use EFI folder as per @trs96 instructions. Change BIOS as requested here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...overview-for-the-experienced-4k-ready.279108/
Then make sure to edit your config.plist in CC as this:
In other words you...
Done that as well. Still no luck.
Also tried to add "No-hda-gfx" to my audio HDMI properties with AAAAAAA AA and layout 1, kernel panic stopped, but all audio, analog too, disappeared.
Any idea why?
No luck. I did exactly as you said and modified BIOS setting. Problem is still there. It reboots, 4 seconds after being woken up after sleep. Do I have to modify config.plist in any way? Someone in another forum is hinting at HDMI audio, could that be involved?
Any other possible solution...
Success! I’d like to thank @trs96 and all the community: got an Optimac up and running with Catalina 10.15.4! No major problems, all essentials are working.
There just one issue so far: when it goes to sleep (by itself or if I choose it) on wake up it reboots. Not immediately, but after some...
