Tried your enclosed SSDT. (placed in EFI Folder: Clover>ACPI>Patched
No luck. Are there steps I'm missing? clearing cache or other steps
thanks for the assist.
This MoBo works well other than the sleep issue .
Does anyone have solid EFI folder build for the x299 GA Designare EX 7980EX build for 10.14.2 ?
I'm looking to solve a few issues with my x299 Designare EX 7980EX Vega10 Pro SSG build.
Issues:
Sleep = reboot (have sleep turned off for now) Shutdown works. system crashes when screen is sleep...
my main issue is getting my Corei9 9980XE to see more than 1 core with current Multibeast . Must be System Def issue. Need iMac Pro 1,1 ?
Gigabyte Designare MoBo, AMD 7000, i9 9980XE ,128GB RAM
Installation Guide : Intel Haswell NUC Core i5 (D54250WYK) Boot0: GPT error
I've been working on setting up 2 NUCs and the guide is excellent - thanks
The one issue I can't seem to understand why its happening on both systems is the 4K sector boot error that usually happens on larger...
Does anyone know if there is a Kext file that will support the nVidia Quadro 4000m?
I'm working on an HP Z1 All-in-One with this card installed (the Z1 has a removable 1000m,3000m, or 4000m card) I can get it to work sometimes if I connect an external display but will need to various boot...
Sorry for the late reply -
When booting from USB stick , you need to make sure you are connected to a USB 2.0 port. USB 3.0 starts to boot then fails.
My systems also have a Intel Xeon not a Core i7 or i5 processor. I think the best compatibility for this machine is a unit without a Xeon...
Thanks for the reply. I finally got it to work after testing for hours. (I'm looking to make this a repeatable as possible as a few friends are looking to do the same thing).
A few notes:
Turning Internal Graphics to PEG and Disable in BIOS
Starting with UniBeast Installer USB and using...
Followed the guide and all appears to work fine except my NVIDIA Quadro 5000 card (also tried Quadro 4000) will turn off after the Grey Apple Boot screen as it changes the resolution and attempts to load the desktop. The monitor supports resolutions up to 1920x1080. I've tried using the Display...
Taking time today to work on this more.
A few more facts :
It's a Xeon 3.4Ghz processor
32GB RAM
NVIDIA 4000 (keep in mind that these are special build cards. While a full card, it's not interchangeable)
2.10 Bios
Blueray SATA drive
2 SSD's - these have a special bracket that allow...
OK - back to working on this.
The main issue is getting the internal drive to boot. No problem using an external USB 3 drive .
The Z1 Bios (currently 1.04) only gives you 2 choices for the Drive Options.
IDE or Raid/AHCI and both will result in Circle Slash error. There is no setting...
I'll be getting back to this soon. I loaned the Z1 out to a friend. I have a few ideas on the internal drive. The 680 won't work as the Quadro Versions of the cards for the Z1 are completely different
I'm helping a friend with taking his new Dell T7600 Dual 6 Core to the Mac side. So far things work as expected on system of this type (npci=0x3000 for boot and so on and no real support for ALC269Q audio) For Audio, just as easy to use one of the cheap USB audio adapters from Amazon.
System...
One possible reason your cards are failing is they did not pass Adobe engineering tests. Not all GeForce cards are equal - remember there are several makers of GeForce cards and NVIDIA just supplies the specs and chips for manufacturing. Many (not all) of the GeForce board makers are in deep...
I had a friend pick me up this mATX MoBo over seas. The build was pretty straight forward. As expected, the Audio driver needed is the Voodoo VT2021 which so far has been stable. Thunderbolt is working the same as the Z77 4H TH & 5H TH where you need to have TB devices connected at boot time ...
Got the Internal Display working with NVIDIA 4000m and progress notes
Just a few notes on the HP Z1
10.8 works OK on the Z1
At this point, I had to install Unibeast to a USB drive from my mac laptop to create a boot disk for the HP and then connect it to the Z1 from USB. It boots fine...
HP Z1 with Quadro 4000m
I fully understand that the HP Z1 (Hp's answer to the 27" iMac) will be a challenge to get fully working. I've got most things working but the main issue is the internal display. The Z1 uses both Intel HD4000 and NVIDIA Quadro 4000m. I can get the Intel HD4000 to work on...
Has anyone tried working on the Hp Z1
I can get get it boot if I use one of the USB 2.0 ports in the back and use an external USB drive connected to the 2.0 port in the back. Booting with UniBeast is no issue and installing the OS is no issue.
Again, I'm just starting to see what we can do...
Re: OpenCL and Adobe CS6 ** SOLUTION ***
Here's what it takes to get non supported cards to work with Premiere Pro.
Your card must have 768 MB of RAM or more. 512 MB will not work. Most recent cards are 1GB.
For Premiere 5.5 users, ATI/AMD cards are not supported as Open CL was added for...
