See above, I clarified(edited) my question.. but it sounds like the Clover EFI (has folders: EFI,EFI-backups, Library, usr) is then the EFI settings that get copied to the hard drive unmounted EFI partition? Is this correct?

So to be clear, are the files are not used for the USB stick at all? Are they only put on the computer drive EFI partition? Should I just follow the standard installation instructions here for the USB stick...

Which Samsung drive was it? I am trying to identify if only specific samsung drives have issues. For example, I heard the Samsung 970 Evo general works, but the Samsun 970 Plus does not. I am wondering if you have the plus or another version.
