Hi all, I've been running Sierra on my current set up of dual monitors (1440p display port + 1080p HMDI port) with no issues at all. I've just made the system upgrade to Catalina and hitting a brick wall.
I can start up my system with either the HDMI 1080 monitor plugged in or the 1440 Display...
Still have this system as my second build...did a fresh install using the Clover method for 10.10.2 and all went very smoothly but had to install my ethernet kext via kextbeast.
:)
Im installing Clover and in the steps of Tony's guide it states:
7. When the installer asks you where to install, choose Yosemite, or your existing install.
8. Upon completion, system will restart a 1st time
9. Press the hotkey to choose boot device
10. Choose USB
11. When Clover boot...
Hi all.
Recently installed Yosemite via Clover, all went smoothly... after having some trouble with the HWmonitor not picking up readings on my CPU i tried a suggested fix of updating my FakeSMC which i replaced and after rebooting everything hangs on the apple logo.
Tried booting in safe...
Hi all, im in the middle of my clover install of Yosemite and needing the latest configurator however it is unavailable for download from the main link and also having no joy when google searching.
Could someone be so kind as to upload it for me so I can finish my install.
Thank you very much
Hi, I followed another users build. I did remove the the generate P and C states from the plist but the system continues to freeze up.
I installed a new set of 2 x 8gb modules which made no difference. Going ahead with the Clover install today. Wish me luck!
After disabling XMP the system ran fine all day, then this morning 2 crashes within the space of 45mins....
I have actually ordered a new pair of memory modules just to ease my mind on this as im slightly concered on how clocking the memory at 1333mhz had such a huge difference on...
I've just disabled XMP... my only concern is how noticably slower things are with the RAM clocked down to 1333mhz from 1600mhz
The bootloader screen's 'timing' bar when booting up is moving much slower... a geekbench result with XMP is 3602//13602 (memory 3098) and without is 3313//12976...
Not seeing anything about memory there.
These keep popping up
kernel[0]: BUG in process suhelperd[194]: over-released legacy external boost assertions (1 total, 1 external, 0 legacy-external)

Flashed to F10 last night, left the computer running a HD video loop for a 4/5 hours with no freeze then within 15 mins of starting the system up this morning it froze again.
Extremely frustrating!
Ok, i'll give it a shot now... just froze twice in the last 10mins so seems to be getting worse :S
Just attached my last log now if anyone can make any sense of it.
Ill let you know how the bios flashing goes.
Cheers
I was reluctant to flash to F10 because it was a beta mainly for the use of the 'k' processors in overclocking.
Im not sure this will cure the freezing as it seems to be something a lot of people are getting with Yosemite and this mobo
