    Where to start?

I don't know if you got one of my replies which was really long. I think it's still waiting for moderator approval.

    Where to start?

Also for building a computer, I'd recommend these videos: Before: JayzTwoCents' video on common PC building mistakes and also his video of common PC myths JayzTwoCents' video on cable management JayzTwoCents' video on AIO orientation (easier to understand and not as boring as GamersNexus'...

    Where to start?

Also if you'd be fine with a dual system, here are some options: Gigabyte VISION G or VISION D as the main ATX system ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 as the secondary system Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 or Phanteks Enthoo 719 as the case Phanteks Revolt X 1200W as the PSU and other stuff from my...

Newbie want to build a dual boot machine

That'd work. Just keep in mind that you'd be getting GTX 1060 performance vs GTX 1070 performance.

    Custom SSD Icons

Can someone make me a BarraCuda 4TB (newer look, like with green and stuff in it), 970 EVO Plus 1TB and an SN750 500GB one? I tried making some by myself and it didn't work.

(Work in progress) Hackintosh Buyer’s Guide 2020

It works just fine for me. What I'd recommend is plug in the USB for it and boot into Windows, install iCUE, set the lighting preference (I forget how, but there's a way that you can set the lighting you want, then that is the default for it). Then when you are done setting the lighting you...

Maximus XII Hero vs Z490 Aorus Master

Hi there, I wondering what would be better: Asus ROG Maximus XII Hero or Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Master What would be more stable and what would be easier to install macOS on, and are there any issues with either of them in macOS.

    Cheap build advice

CPU: Good. MB: I've seen a good amount of bad reviews about that Gigabyte mobo (look on Newegg), so I'd recommend the Prime Z490M-Plus GPU: Not sure how the UHD 630 performs, but you could get a Nvidia GT 710 if you want something more powerful RAM: It'd be better to go dual-channel, so 2x8GB...

    Need advice - built ok?

Looks good. Here are my suggestions: CPU: Try to get the -K version if possible (note: -K CPUs don't come with stock cooler) Mobo: Good. GPU: If you are going to run Catalina or later, then a Navi card wouldn't hurt. RAM: Good. I'd try to get Vengeance LPX instead, but HyperX Fury is still...

RAM for Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi

Corsair Vengeance LPX/RGB/RGB Pro Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB G.Skill Trident Z/RGB/Royal (note: RGB versions, the RGB doesn't turn off in sleep) G.Skill Ripjaws V Crucial Ballistix/RGB/Max/Max RGB All of these should work.

    2nd Opinion - Hardware

CPU & Mobo: I'd recommend going 10th gen, like a 10700K (really just a 9900K with a different socket) or 10900K, and a Z490 mATX motherboard (so you have an extra slot for a PCIe WiFi & BT card), like the ROG Strix Z490-G or Prime Z490M-Plus, and for the WiFi & BT either the Fenvi FV-T919 or...

    Graphics card for Photoshop

RX 460-480 or RX 560-580 would be a good option. You could also get a 5500 XT, but that only works with 10.15.2 or later (or with 10.15.1 with agdpmod=pikera).

High End Mac for 3d CGI and Rendering using Sidefx Houdini 3d Coat and DAZ Studio

You should probably upgrade to an AMD GPU, as it runs much better in macOS. I'm guessing you mean 6900 XT.

    Ryzentosh Mobo Recommendations

Hi there, I'm wondering what motherboards would be good (X570 or B550) for a Ryzentosh. So far, I've really only seen one, the ASRock X570 Taichi. I'm wondering if any of these would also work well: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming X Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero...

<< Solved >> I need HELP to build a catalina hackintosh

Mobo: If you are on a budget, I'd recommend getting the Gigabyte Z490 Ultra Durable or the Asus Prime Z490-P. For chipsets, you were wondering if any Z370 mobo would work, the answer is NO. I would recommend getting an Intel chipset (preferably Z-series) from Gigabyte or Asus for best...

    asking for buying advice

Looks good! :) Everything is compatible (hardware and with macOS)! You don't really need that high-end of a motherboard FYI. You could get something like Gigabyte Z490 AORUS Pro, Gigabyte Z490 VISION G, or an Asus TUF Z490-Plus, and spend more money on the CPU and get like a 10700K.
