This looks to be the case. Thank you. Each time I reboot, I have to reload my saved BIOS profile... and then no problems booting.
Any idea what's going on with the hardware? Mobo CMOS battery problem perhaps?
I spilled water on the top of my computer a few days ago. I took it apart and it wasn't as bad as it could have been--most of the water seemed to get caught on the top fan. I took out the CPU fan and GPU and let it dry over night with a fan pointed at the machine.
The next day it turned on fine...
It looks like it was a config.plist issue. Once I fixed that, the solution was to just select macOS Installer at boot loader options and the install continued as normal.
Thanks!
I ran the Software Update installer and when the computer restarted, I think I chose the wrong option at the bootloader screen (two options: macOS / macOS Installer)
I've tried selecting both multiple times, have cleared the nvram, and even plugged in my bootable backup to try to get macOS...
Thanks for this.
@brousseau6933 thank you for these diagrams and all your input, perfect. My case does have a USB-C on the front but it doesn't work.. I've got the scarlett working simply by plugging it into a USB A port with an adapter cable. Functional but I do need those extra ports.
Was...
OK, so the ports are working, but my devices are USB2 so they won't be active.
@brousseau6933 Do you mean USB2 on the thunderbolt ports? If you could point me in the right direction/post to map this out it would be appreciated. I've never done that manually
Or: is there a way I can re-enable...
I don't see why it wouldn't have that support, the EFI I am currently using is from CaseySJ on this thread. I added USBPorts.kext from my old build just to see if it would fix the ports, no luck.

Yes, I see AppleVTD in IOregistryexplorer. Screenshot attached
The Scarlett 2i2 is always plugged in, it's what I normally run all my audio in/out through. Do you mean plugging it in at the BIOS screen before selecting macOS with opencore...
Attached is the RP05 section.
I generally use a few external hard drives connected via the Thunderbolt ports, but my Scarlett 2i2 audio interface is the main squeeze. It would appear that the computer sees the small disk inside the audio interface but not any of my hard drives. (I checked the...
Hi! Thanks @CaseySJ for all your work here, this Golden Build description has gotten me through the years :)
I recently (and successfully) managed to upgrade to Monterey 12.5, OC 0.8.3, using the Intel BT/WiFi using the recent guides. Amazing! And so clean feeling.
Only problem is, my...
Interesting, as soon as I upgraded to Big Sur (SMBIOS iMacPro1,1), Blender stopped showing me the options under System to even select a GPU (beforehand, it said there were no compatible GPUs--I use Radeon VII). Do you know if there is another way to check on Blender what it's using?
EDIT: found...
Aha. The box mentioned that. But the device doesn't actually have a connector for this cable (the instructions mentioned it). So it sounds like I have the wrong product in there.
Thanks for the troubleshooting :)
Thanks. But I don't even have Bluetooth options--anywhere. It's like BT doesn't even exist in the system. "No Bluetooth Hardware Found" in System Report.
You're using Catalina? No BrcmFirmwareRepo/Data or Injector kexts? I can't even get the computer to recognize there is a bluetooth onboard, which makes me question the integrity of my Fenvi T919 device itself (it's advertised as BT+WiFi but the package I received it in says nothing about BT)
As stated in title, I think I made a mistake and installed Lilu and VirtualSMC to Library/Extensions, but at the time didn't realize WEG would be critical for booting up... and sure enough, I get a graphics error after the Apple loading screen. I've tried countless things (flash BIOS and change...
