You mean to be ready when there is a guide?
Well I suggest you read above #203 and the lucky guy who managed to build one:

I still haven't Catalina working, if I had spent all the time trying, on a side job, I could have easily bought a real Mac.
Everytime the updates got more complicated.
I thank the Hackintosh / Custo Mac world a lot for all the good times, but for me the show is over.
You are absolutely right. Every time waiting and waiting after an update and then not knowing if it works. I'm waiting for almost a year now, still don't have Mojave and that means you cannot get the latest (safety) updates. For example for the cloud, I write a lot. I will NOT buy Nvidia again...
Now it's getting nasty with the missing Nvidia Webdrivers update. This update includes a cloud update but you need Mojave to install it. I use the cloud because I write a lot and the cloud works also in Windows so I can check the spelling on both platforms. (Word on a Mac finds different...
I was afraid this update automatically does the Mojave update, that turned out not to be true. Because I have a NVidia GTX 970, I have to wait for drivers. Don't actually know if I need/want Mojave.
I don't think you can skip the update. It probably goes in the new update.
I waited too but with the new update it still says one update, not two updates.
Oh ****, you're right. I just moved from Holland to Spain, wanted to get organised, too fast I guess. All these languages, Dutch, Spanish English, can't even read anymore. It's Safari 11, right. Thanks a lot and...sorry!
Yes, that was obvious to me, digital choice, yes or no. But I don't see anywhere in the whole tonymac website Sierra 11 mentioned! Should I update all the 10.xx.xx and stay away from 11 or what? What IS Sierra 11?
Like a charm, really?
I use Carbon copy clone, but just a copy doesn't work, again you have to make it bootable.
That still can be hassle. And I advise you to use Time Machine as well
I did Snow Leopard on a MSI MoBo with G31 chipset, 8 years ago and it's still running great.
So, you never actually can tell, every mobo seems to be different.
Just remove your HDD's and plug in a spare one. Maybe second hand, and just try it.
You can always clone it to a new drive (SSD) if...
Some advice maybe, I see a lot of people on this forum trying to install/update too hasty and loosing what they had.
I've a working El Capitan on one disk and made a clone with Carbon Copy Cloner on another disk.
With the El Capitan clone I do the experiments, migrate Applications and...
Thanks! I followed these steps.
Unchecked everything in Migrate and right after that I did the Post Install again, Clover EFI and Custo Mac Essentials.
I think that's the trick: don't restart after migrating but do the Post Install again.
So I managed to migrate the applications in this...
After migrating Applications only it kept on restarting. Then I read the articles on top of this forum, "Explaining security changes and workarounds" and I understand that El Capitan is a totaly different game. A bit naive to think you can get away with just migrating.
I have a good working El...
