Good news/Bad news: Did one more clean install, this time Realtek Gigabit, still worked. So, must be the permissions thing.
Now to the bad news - applying 10.8.2 broke the install, getting the "stop sign"! Any thoughts please?
After writing this, did one more clean install, and it works! This is what I did different:
- Used Lnx2Mac's drivers instead of Realtek Gigabit;
- Used Disk utility to check/repair permissions (!!!);
I wonder if the last item did it?
It's been some time since I last posted (my 10.7.3 build lasted more than 1/2 year!). I still have the original combo (i3-2105/GA-H67N-USB3-B3) and created custom UniBeast install of ML 10.8.1. Installation goes fine, and I am able to get into ML after all. THEN, I am using DSDT from post #2 (I...
$10-15 of savings are NOT worth the hassle. You could spend days trying to get SB CPU working with ML and this board. It may work, who knows, with manual updates of plist files and such, but I would go with 3225.
As a minimum, reload defaults. Before upgrading to F11 (D3H MB) from F4 my OS loading time was long, up to a minute sometimes (even with SSD), after BIOS upgrade - a few seconds.
Update - after flashing BIOS with latest version (F11 from F4), everything works perfectly! Sleep/sound/network/display, you name it. Use Q-Flash - just download the BIOS file, put on USB stick and boot into BIOS. Don't forget to change disk setup to AHCI, that' all I did this time.

All other functions work after MultiBeast with audio/network/sata/no dsdt applied. But sleep is not. Best I could reach - sleeping, but then after waking up pointer rainbow circle forever. Any help with sleep would be greatly appreciated, so close to success.
I have same MB and i3-3225. All went fine, but I am unable to make the power standby function to work. Pretty much followed the installation steps. Using DVI. Any help please?
I have same MB but i3-2125 Processor. Mostly works great, BUT can't get it to proper sleep mode. Monitor goes white, no sleep. Any ideas please? Thanks!
OK, I must've become rusty on my skills - after 10.7.3 upgrade and usual MultiBeast - no sound to select at all. Does someone have a simple guide now for this build? I have a standard recommended configuration.
Thanks!
System Preferences | Sound | Output | Line Out
I am unable to make any changes there, what am I doing wrong?
Are you setting it to Line Out as opposed to some other selection, and is the volume turned up? The black jack works on mine when Line Out is selected.
For me, black jack doesn't...
Sorry for possibly duplicate question, I think I checked first (!) - how do I enable the black line out? I tried all my output options (Audio MIDI Setup), but only one worked (green out). What am I missing here?
Is there a solution to sleep problem such as:
- If I hit power button/menu item, Mini goes to sleep and wakes up just fine.
- If I let it go to sleep on its own (15 mins default), then it has difficulties waking up - the screen does some weird things, with various lighting effects, but never...
Solved the problem! I stupidly used MultiBeast 4.0.2 for Lion on Leopard install!
So, I just did reinstall and all works! I also found the UpdateHelper link, to allow for 10.6.8 install, and that worked. Now, I am going to try the Lion install. PITA but fun so far.
I am on 10.6.7 now, made very good progress!
BUT, need just a little more help - I ran MultiBeast with my custom DSDT (same as this thread requires), F7 HDMI Audio, but I am not able to get past the apple logo screen! iBoot works now at least, but I want to make sure it's completely working...
