ok so ive tried everything i could possibly do. my drive is not detected in iboot 3.1.1 and 3.2 and rboot but when i enter sl install its detected. it had 120 files installed and still nothing.
why is everyone else installing sl so perfectly and i get this crappy end of this stick?

I have same build except for i72600k and a wd 500gb drive (thats what i had lying around.) I can't get it to install sl. Install failed.
I followed guides to a t. tried 4 and 8 gb ram setups and nothing. I have read that this is ok and not a problem but when I go to iboot my drive isn't showing...
has anyone got this card to function properly with sl or lion? im looking for a functional processing video card. need to use final cut.

installing individual updates. no combos.
I updated from 10.6.4-5 then had a display issue so im not sure if this solution is working for all but am doing it every time. started over and updated one at...

well I used iboot legacy to get it to boot into the 10.6.3 install.
install went well. on reboot I still need iboot legacy.
video worked after the install of "Ati lion frameworks" as I have a radeon hd 5730. I only installed the 5000...
ok so to install 10.6.3 onto alienware m15x with my config.

this is a single boot system.
i have reached to 10.6.7 sucessfully and stable. only thing that does not work is wlan.
download Iboot legacy. burn to disk. this will get you to install 10.6.3
insert iboot...
