Sorry if this has already been answered but its a pretty long thread and search is a bit wonky for me right now. Can I use an i7-9700k chip or i9-9900k with this setup and have it work 100%? Are there any special instructions to get those chips to operate in this setup?
I am sure this is probably really easy, but I use my system for work and cannot afford to be down for any amount of time. Can someone give a quick walkthrough of updating from 10.12.X to 10.13 including removing any lines of code previously put in according to the OP and removing any unnecessary...
I have a pair of Acer K272hl monitors and I notice similar behavior. When I try to hot plug the second monitor, the first goes dark too. It appears to reset itself or something which also crashes the OS. I have gotten it to work only a few times but never consistently. I am not sure what it is...
Disabling IGPU in BIOS did not work for me. Any other suggestions?
UPDATE EDIT: Artifacts gone by also changing Shared Memory setting in BIOS to "Auto" from previous setting, which was "128 MB" for me.
I am having the same problem even after I disable integrated graphics in BIOS settings. Any other suggestions.

I cant seem to figure this out. I have tried all the fixes in the first post and have gotten it to work a few different times. However, some reboots or just randomly it will not work property after hot plugging. I have made no changes to the attached config.plist, which previously worked but no...
Samsung 960 EVO 500GB. Followed the guide on the OP and the drive showed up after booting onto a regular HD install. Cloned over the drive to the SSD and followed the post again but this time installing the files onto the SSD drive. Worked to perfection.
I need to add that I have very little...

I dont think its because you are on legacy. I am having the same problem on a z68ma-ud2-b3 motherboard with UEFI bios. I cant seem to figure it out. Kext is also existing in the directory. I think it has something to do with the i5 2500K processor that we both have.
Interested to know if anyone has gotten a chromebook to load OS X. Some of the newer ones seem to have specs that may be compatible (i.e. core or has well processor, hd4000 graphics, etc..). I'm not sure about the bios however. Any ideas?
Same motherboard but using internal graphics. I am able to install and boot into the installed drive to run Multibeast. After installing multibeast, I reboot and am no longer able to boot into the Yosemite drive on its own NOR with the Unibeast installer. I keep getting the same error related to...
Anyone else having their monitor go to sleep while installer is loading? I can't seem to get to installer screen because my monitor is going to sleep while it's loading.
I have a question with regards to the spare drive. Is it absolutely necessary? Can't you just boot into your clone and migrate from there or install onto the the 2nd hard drive (which was previously the clone) and migrate off the original?
Wouldnt another option be to upgrade to ML on your...
Anyone have experience rebranding a BCM94311MCG card that I got out of my old HP laptop for use in my mac with the adapter? If so, can someone give me the info on rebranding it.
Anyone else getting random lockups with this motherboard and i5-2500k using HD3000 graphics? Console shows the following:
2/3/12 11:35:19.000 AM kernel: **** Debug info for apparent hang in Main graphics engine ****
2/3/12 11:35:19.000 AM kernel: ring head = 0x72e02c8c, wrap count = 0x397...
