Presonus Universal Control 3.5.2 worked! Hurray! I am now thinking maybe the Sonoma update disabled the system extension (it required special approval when installing just now). I was so focused on EFIs and BIOS settings that I overlooked a driver issue. What a wild ride... Thanks to everyone...

Anyone having trouble getting Thunderbolt devices to connect? I have a z390, AMD Radeon VII, setup with a Presonus Quantum audio interface. Since upgrading to OC 0.9.6 I have not been able to get Thunderbolt to connect. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and if there is a fix for it...

I was able to get things back to normal by using your v8 aml as you suggested in another post (quoted below). I guess my devices were actually running USB over the thunderbolt ports.:crazy: Anyway, I am very happy to have my system back! Many thanks for all the help! :)

After a cold boot the symptoms remains the same. I have attached a new screenshot. Also AppleVTD does appear to be enabled. IORegistryExplorer says "Discovered" when I mouse over it.

My wild guess would be to check the BIOS settings. There is something in there about allowing USB to wake or start the system.

Yes, it seems CFG-Lock under Boot section in BIOS solved the problem. I also had to update the kexts in L/E and run kextcache -i from recovery mode to get it to boot. But it is working well now :) with Bluetooth which I could not get using the Dortania guide. Thanks everyone! :)
