Thank you. That seems to have worked. Now I'll go back to page 1 of the forum to learn how to generate serials and add them (along with SMUUID) to the config.plist (which I will also learn about).

I may have the wrong EFI folder on the USB stick. When I mounted it and moved it into the EFI installer, it didn't seem to run, as shown in the YouTube video. Nothing visual occurred. Do I need to go back to some point and start over, or do I have a functional installer now?

Thank you. Got the app. Downloaded. Right-clicked to open. App launched, but is nowhere to be found. Won't run, won't quit without a computer restart. What am I doing wrong?

I am missing something obvious, I guess. The folder 'EFI Agent' copied to my installer stick does not respond to a right-click. Is one of these items inside the folder what I should right-click? None of them appears to be an application.

"if you download hackintool or efi agent, you can use either of those tools to mount the hidden efi partition to then copy the efi folder into the efi partition" MacOS won't allow HackinTool to open, claims HackinTool can't be checked for vireo or malicious code, and needs to be updated. Yechh...

I'm sorry, but I guess it's my day to need guidance. Still working on the Installer. "Next, you will download the 0.6.9 OC EFI and place it into the EFI partition of the USB installer you just made. "1. Use EFI agent or Hackintool to mount the USB's EFI partition...

On the fourth try it accepted my computer login. Now it wants to erase the Installer thumb drive. Is this normal?

Noobie question: Terminal asks for a password before running the Installer Creation Script on my thumb drive. I thought it wanted my computer password, but no text was accepted at all. A key icon shows at the end of the line. Working in Safari. What have I missed? Or done wrong? Do I need to...

Thank you. I found the Install package in the Applications folder before you told me to look in the dock.

It completed the download, but then began to run the installer on this MacBook Air. I'm sure I'm making a noobie mistake.

Since I know nothing about running scripts, I started the link. It appears to be making the same shortfall as last time.

I've been gone from this forum (and my build) for about a year. I have forgotten much. My attempts at downloading a Mojave OS installer from Apple using Safari have failed. The download size figure stops, claims completion (6.08 gig, I think), but the progress bar stops about 15% from its right...

TRS, I have another Nimrod-grade question for you. I've gotten UniBeast installed correctly on my thumb drive. I'm now at Step 3. These are the BIOS setting options in the instructions; which of these do I choose for the Dell motherboard? Does it use an AMI UEFI BIOS? "STEP 3: Recommended BIOS...

On a different subject, please tell me the received wisdom on the build steps. Assemble with the motherboard in or out of the case? If switching to a newer retail case, which is better: to run the original case until no reliability issues remain, or damn the torpedoes and install immediately in...

"Mac in the Box" Hackintosh, for the budget minded.

Craig, this is a brilliant example of out-of-the-box and back-in-the-box thinking. I did something similar 25 years ago using Coroplast to make a test rig and some hard drive brackets. Yes, a little duct tape (or some CA glue used sparingly) would stabilize the structure, but . . . you'd lose...

I am progressing only slowly, being a careful sort. I ordered the case TRS96 recommended, the DLM21 mATX case, at a good price. It seems to me it might be better to do a 'prototype build' in the original Dell case, then move everything over to the DLM21 after some debugging. Is this any kind of...

I was creating my UniBeast installer for Catalina last night per the documentation. After I copied MultiBeast to the USB installer and ejected it, I came to this instruction: "Once creation of the UniBeast installer has completed, you will need to replace the UniBeast created config.plist with...
