It still running like a dream on macOS 13.0 Ventura (with 12gb ram) I am using a HP G5 Thunderbolt dock to drive a 34" 1440p screen. I also have ethernet and all the USB periphials working via the dock.
I think i need to use a mobile framebuffer, because i need 2x DP and 1X HDMI. I have identified my DP, HDMI, and DVI-dual link port with IOreg explorer.
And i think i can not use my VGA port ?
I tried modifying the 0D220003 framebuffer.
i have attached a screenshot of my current...
I started with identifying all the connectors on my motherboard, Hackintool detects 4 connectors: 3xDP and 1 | dummy.
I have read that macOS only supports 3 dispay outputs via a iGPU.....
My motherboard has 4 display connectors = DP(1x DP, 1xVGA) & HDMI(1xDVI, 1xHDMI).
So how do i even find...
Thanks for the help so far ! I will read this guide thoroughly a few times! I did not know that macOS only supported 3 display outputs via a iGPU. I need to figure DP/DVi and HDMI out then!
I tested this again, and still no luck. But the OC menu and bootscreen are already in 1080p instead of 4k, it looks like macOS thinks that my display port is a Hdmi port.
I have read some other post about the HD4600 and macOS, and i think that I have to dive in the Whatevergreen framebuffer...
I will boot a ubuntu live install, to check if I even get 4k60 via the onboard dispayport connector. I have not tried Ubunutu or Windows to verify that.....
*UPDATE*
---- I have booted to Ubutnu, and the Ubuntu boot animation was already in native resolution. And it was 4k60 out of the box. I...
Hello, I have a hard time getting 4k60hz to work on my custom mini itx hackintosh -->
(OpenCore 0.8.5 / macOS 12.6.1 Montery / iMac 16,1)
The systems is a i7 4790, Using the HD4600 graphics trough the onboard displayport 1.2 connector on this: motherboard (Asus H97I-Plus).

I use my 4k monitor (via usb c to dp)
sometimes when I have to finish some school work on my laptop. But a lot of the times, my external monitor stays black, but macOS recognizes the external 4k LG monitor.
If I read your post correctly, you had similar problems ?
Here is my EFI for macOS 13 Ventura, OpenCore 0.8.5. all the kext are up to date. As far as i know, everything works.
(!) Do not forget to add your own serial numbers before using this EFI !
@Shinji3rd maybe you can add this folder to the attachment of this guide ?
Hmm then i have to look into some things.... I was using the OC 0.7.5 config.plist, attached to this tutorial.
I updated that one with OCAT. Maybe ocat removed to much properties.
And the device id you mentioned is used in the config.plist attached to this guide..
I have compared my ig-platform settings, but i can't find anything different than before. It is really annoying because everything else is working fine. Maybe i can post my EFI folder here, so that anyone can have a look at it ?
So now wifi and bluetooth is working again... I did a kextupdate with OCAT, and not all the kext where up to date...
I checked all the kext again with Hackintool, and now everything is up to date, for real this time.
But i still do not have good working graphics... Only 7mb of VRAM. Maybe...
Well, i think I have done something wrong, because wifi, Bluetooth and 3d acceleration are not working. Maybe the kext for the BCM94352Z are not supported (yet) in Ventura.
And for the HD620 graphics i have to look into the config.plist settings, maybe some things have changed....
Thanks for the heads up ! I did not know about OCAT... I just updated OC 0.7 to 0.8.5 and all the kext !
I did a validation after the reboot to make sure that everything was good. I made a copy of my EFI folder, and now it is Update time !
