Nope with update to 2B2QEXM7. Run smooth for 2-3 weeks now back to unstable a little bit back and forth. Random black-outs. So long term stability seems to be still an issue. I'm also on the newest macOS 10.14.6.
Also for my taste it's running quite hot after a while.
Just a quick update after a couple of weeks. I'm using the 970plus on a MBP mid 2015.
Start having now serious issues, random reboots, MB not starting also is running quite hot.
Takes long time to get a reboot done (PRAM reset etc.).
So I can't recommend using this SSD on original MBP hardware.
So ultimately got the 970 Evo Plus running on my MacBook Pro 15 mid 2015. However the results I'm getting from Blackmagic are a bit of a let down. It's only 2500 Write and 2160 in Read speed. So really a tiny bit more than evo 970. That was really not worth the stress. Looks like the MB pro is...
@bootpcanon: a quick addition to your list: In case you want to use this process for a macbook. You need to press the option key while restarting the MB and then select the EFI option to start from the USB.
It then also boots into the Samsung update process.
Hi thoronthar: I don't think you need to boot to Windows the ISO for updating will be burned to USB stick. Then you boot form the usb. It seems to come with it's own "OS / Linux. After the update you can do the normal install procedure. Makes sense ?
@bootpcanon: That's great news can you confirm that you're getting the full speed (meaning not a fraction of the supposed speed) and that you're not encountering problems running mac OSX? Thanks for the feedback.
Quick question. I installed the 10.15.5 beta version but don't have a 970 plus to test. Did someone tried if the beta fixed the compatibility issue?
Help is much appreciated
