    3D Printed Motherboard Tray

Well I went back and made some revisions, I did some more precise fitment/measurement work for the mounting holes and side plastic panel access hole. I got rid of the text, and increased the Apple logo size, and printed it in all black for a stealthier look. Here's a cool photo of the printing...

    3D Printed Motherboard Tray

My original motherboard latch release tray gets worse every time I open the case of this machine, so I decided to 3D print a replacement alternative. I did the reverse spring mod so that I would not need the latching functionality from the old tray. I know I don't need something between the...

    3D Printed CD-ROM Bay Vent

I've been tossing this idea around for a while and forgot about it, but since then I've purchased a 3D printer and got to work. I need as much cooling as I can possibly get in this G4, so I designed a CD-ROM bay vent to prop the OEM door open to allow airflow into the case. It makes the case...

    Goodbye Hackintosh

I built my Hackintosh on a Dell Optiplex 7010, then moved the hardware to my Powermac G4 case using the Laserhive back panel. I've used this setup for a few years and have loved it! However, with the announcement of the M1 processor, and the complexities of upgrading from Catalina or Mojave to...

NTFS write is supported through samba if writing to a windows network share, if that helps. I am able to write to my windows pc over my network no problem.

macOS 10.15 Catalina is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Was it a driver from Logitech that you installed? I'm not sure that there are Mac OS X drivers available for the Hcman keyboard.

    TP-Link Archer T6E doesn't work

I actually did a fresh install using the Optiplex 7010 Catalina guide. Oddly after simply dropping airportbrcmfixup into kexts/other it's now working. Strange.

Have to Replace GTX 970 with ??

I was in the same boat, i had a gtx 1050. I posted it in craigslist and facebook for sale or for trade for an amd rx560. I had someone reach out for an even trade within the week, no money spent. Give it a go, it's worth a shot. PC gamers love the nvidia name and would likely be more than...

Lost WiFi After Updating to 10.14.5

I tried to install the update and it took out my WiFi, and in Clover Configurator, most options had lighting bolts next to them. I realize I need to reinstall kexts, but am I supposed to backup my config plist before the update, and load it up through Clover Configurator after the update? Also...

[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

When I transplanted my 7010 MT to my Powermac G4 case which holds a 120mm fan, I was able to use a 120mm Dell Foxconn fan, since the powermac case was set up for that size. No bios errors, so it seems switching sizes are ok as long as you stick with Dell equipment.

PowerMac G4 Digital Audio / Optiplex 7010 MT Build

Sure thing, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OYEU7G/?tag=tonymacx86com-20 Note, I did not have to remove the stock mounting bracket on the back of the motherboard, this CPU fan screwed right in. Also the CPU fan comes with thermal grease applied already, but I removed it with rubbing...

PowerMac G4 Digital Audio / Optiplex 7010 MT Build

Everything is together, I ended up buying a Dell Foxconn 120mm fan on ebay. It's is much quieter and no error. Please note I also was able to bypass the error by using the 120mm delta fan, and jumpering the sense wire from the cpu fan to the case fan header, but then the 120mm delta fan had to...
