The important UEFI setup variable addresses remain unchanged in 1.10.0. See my repo README for the values: https://github.com/hacker1024/Dell-Inspiron-7586-Hackintosh

[Whiskey Lake UHD620] "Steppy" blurs and gradients, lines around dock

@pikitriks99 I got a display replacement from Dell due to unrelated reasons, and the problem disappeared. The new panel has different vendor and hardware IDs.

[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

Thanks for the fix, I ran into this problem as well. Why is BPC1 used twice? What happens to BPC0?

    Dell Inspiron 7586 / I7-8565U /Intel UHD 620

Kaby Lake UHD 620s are completely different in terms of configuration, so any Kaby Lake config isn't going to work (believe me, I tried a ton before I used a working config). I'll be discussing more about the GPU issue on the GitHub repo's open issue...

    Dell Inspiron 7586 / I7-8565U /Intel UHD 620

Also, if one of you could make an issue about this on the GitHub repo it may be better, as any other users with the problem will be able to find the discussion more easily?

    Dell Inspiron 7586 / I7-8565U /Intel UHD 620

Normally there would be many more IGPU statements in that log, and the GUI would launch at that point. This leads me to believe that WhateverGreen may not be loading, or perhaps something's incompatible in its configuration. I've only ever tried this setup with Big Sur, so that would probably...

    Dell Inspiron 7586 / I7-8565U /Intel UHD 620

I also have the MX150, I just didn't put it on my profile as it's unused by macOS. CFG-Lock is in the post-install section because the Dortania guides tell you to enable the "AppleXcpmCfgLock" kernel quirk initially, which bypasses the issue. You can try enabling it and seeing if that helps...

[Guide] Using Clover to "hotpatch" ACPI

Hey everyone, To get my touchpad/touchscreen working, I need to patch my DSDT. It involves changing an if statement that checks a variable called USTP to always run. Looking at the assembled ASL files, I need to change this line: 000318AA: A0 4C 48 55 53 54 50 ... ".LHUSTP" To this one...

    Dell Inspiron 7586 / I7-8565U /Intel UHD 620

I got tired of my modified DSDT breaking every week, so I built a ACPI hotpatch to fix VoodooI2C compatibility instead. To get the touchscreen and touchpad working, all you need now is VoodooI2C.kext, VoodooI2CHID.kext, and this patch in Clover > ACPI > DSDT. Comment: Change USTP to One (to fix...

Need to lock/disable keyboard on 2 in 1 laptop

Did you ever work it out? My Dell Inspiron 7586 used to do this perfectly, even in macOS, but it seems that a UEFI update killed the functionality. Now it only deactivates when it's folded 100% back, instead of deactivating after 180 degrees. It still works fine in Linux, though.

    Dell Inspiron 7586 / I7-8565U /Intel UHD 620

The 10.15.3 upgrade was almost flawless - my only problem was that on the first boot, my secondary monitor was black with just the mouse cursor showing. A reboot fixed it.

Has anyone got USB 3.x working in Catalina? Or the headphone jack? (I can confirm that there were no regressions updating to 10.15.2, it seems fine so far.)
