    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

So - I ended up ordering a Fenvi wifi/bluetooth card - I'll see if that fixes my issue. I did attached an ethernet cable and it works like a champ. I have a few things that are acting odd: SoftRAID Lite crashes any time I try to launch it (I'm running the latest release of version 5 - I'm...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I’m using a BCM94360CS2 with the pci adapter you recommended at the beginning of your guide. I guess I could reinstall the no-cnvw aml and see if it works. Just place it in the efi folder like the original post install step right? And re-run kext tool?

So quick question - the WiFi/Bluetooth adapter - does it matter which PCIEx1 slot I put it in? My Vega covers the top slot and I just realized that that's considers 1_1. I've been trying to get it to work in 1_2 this whole time.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Yep - I did the post install of the NO-CNVW.aml and I also tried deleting and re-adding the network connection but the card is still acting really strange (and it seems to hang finder often too). Any other ideas to try or should I buy a new card/adapter and see if that works? Also - an update...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I'm having a weird issue with my WiFi card (the same card and adapter recommended in this guide) - sometimes it won't allow me to turn WiFi on, sometimes it does, sometimes it shows available WiFi networks but it never lets me actually join one. I'm thinking that I may have a faulty WiFi card...

So - if I boot off of my USB stick and then load the internal drive it will use the EFI from the USB stick right? And then I can use multibeast to fix the SMBIOS?

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Alright... my bad... I did accidentally set an iMac SMBIOS. So - what's the best way to change it? I'm assuming a reinstall? (I tried changing the clover options during the bootload but it seems that they don't stick. Also - if the drive wasn't an m.2 drive I would assume I could just easily...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Now I’m paranoid. Maybe I accidentally choose iMac8,1? Is there a way to check? (Because right now I can’t boot into Mac OS...). Or do I need to just reinstall again?! Seriously. Thanks for all of the help. I feel like I’m close to getting it right.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I did the initial setup as imac14,2 and then didn’t post install as Macmini8,1

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I did reinstall 10.14.4 and before I did the clover config it showed the Vega 56 properly (when the config was still the initial base iMac).

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thanks! So I used the correct version of clover configurator and finished all of the post installation steps and rebooted. Now the machine throws an error: "This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform!" Reason Mac-F227BEC8 Is this because of the Vega 56? (I followed your...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

So... I’m stuck at the same place now even after installing 10.14.4 - clover configurator doesn’t show a macmini8,1. The highest it goes is 7,1. I’m on clover config v4.42.1 and your guide says 5.3.2.0 or later. I don’t see a version later than 4.42.1. Thoughts?

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Quick update - I did a secure format on the USB stick and it worked fine. (I actually got impatient and pull the USB stick after Pass 2 and then formatted as normal)

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I'm still not able to build the USB stick that I originally used (with 10.14.0 on it) with UniBeast without it throwing the "can't detach" error. I've looked online quite a bit and it literally may just not want to eject the USB stick from the UniBeast installer (In other words - it may be a...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

So weird... I formatted the USB stick that I previously used to install 10.14.0, deleted all references to "Install MacOS" on my hard drive (and emptied the trash) and downloaded Mojave from the App Store but now when I prep the stick with unibeast it throws an error "couldn't detach os x base...

I followed this install guide to the letter... except I missed a couple of letters! When I got to the post install step I couldn't choose the MacMini 8,1 and then I realized that I installed the 10.14.0!! Is there any way to update at this point or do I need to start from scratch? (I...
