I have no idea what its architecture is though - I'm not too sure how to check that.
Yes, I know... found out way too late. Am looking to purchase a P71, but that's besides the point...
However, I'm still open to discussing the possibility of getting my P72 working, if it is at all possible.
Sorry for the stupid question - but what is the point of extracting the VBIOS with GPU-Z? Also, is it possible to nonetheless flash the VBIOS when the GPU is soldered?
I have no idea how to help fix this, and I greatly appreciate the work you've done... however, I'mma just link this before RehabMan does:
"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output...
I haven't. I instead had to go with integrated graphics, Intel UHD 630. However that came with its own sleep issues, and I still haven't been able to fix the webcam nor the trackpad... at this stage I've kinda given up on it.
Thank you for your
Thank you for your insight Sniki, I greatly appreciate it.
I have honestly tried to patch my DSDT and SSDT files using the guide linked above. I followed the instructions to a fault; however, I simply cannot find where the _OFF method calls the EC.
I literally searched...
I have VoodooPS2Controller.kext (latest version from RehabMan's repo) installed in /Library/Extensions. The trackpad on my ThinkPad P72 laptop (running Mojave) is working fine, however I cannot use two fingers to scroll, nor can I see it under "Trackpad" in System Preferences. Changing Mouse...
Hmm. I have tried:
[sys] Fix _WAK Arg0 v2
[usb] USB3 _PRW 0x0D (instant wake)
Neither of them have changed the result at all - I still get the split screen with a bit of a moving glitch upon wake.
I have patched my DSDT to get ACPI battery status working; I followed RehabMan's guide here.
AFAIK I don't think my patches in my DSDT file affects the sleep setting; however I wasn't aware I need to add any other patches to get sleep working.
This is what pmset -g gives me now:
Currently in use:
standbydelaylow 10800
standby 0
womp 1
hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage
proximitywake 1
powernap 1
halfdim 1
networkoversleep 0
disksleep 0...
Did you mean the shell commands disabling hibernation?
I just tried that, pressed sleep, and I still get the graphics glitch. I tried a restart, pressed sleep, and I still get the graphics glitch as well.
My Mojave installation on my ThinkPad P72 is working fine with full QE/CI; however, upon putting the computer to sleep (or when it goes to sleep by itself), upon waking it up the screen becomes glitched and doubled across the top and bottom half of the display, like so:
Any help would be...
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but is that the same as the NVIDIA Web Drivers? I have installed the NVIDIA Web Drivers for my version of OS X (10.13.4 17E199, I installed 387.10.10.10.30.106) and yet I still can't boot in discrete graphics mode.
It definitely is doing something though - when I boot...
