Apple Previews macOS 11.0 Big Sur - Available Fall 2020

PowerPC was a RISC based chip - and proved to be horribly underpowered compared to WinTel - the resurgence of Apple happened when they shifted to Intel. Taking a step backwards and shifting to another underpowered Risc Chip is NOT the way to the future. This is about one thing - control - and...

Catalina - Safari Crashing on Video Issue

Most of the video streaming sites switched to HTML 5 for video streaming. This supports HDCP which typically what caused problems with the Playback - the DRM was killing it. This was working prior to Catalina for me (I was setup with Headless IGP, with a iMac Pro system definition). Chrome...

Catalina - Safari Crashing on Video Issue

This is exactly what's happening to me - everything works perfectly in Chrome - but Safari crashes with the mouse pointer continuing to work. I had some minor success changing the platform id - but they all eventually crashed (sometimes Netflix would work for the first 10 seconds before crashing).

Catalina - Safari Crashing on Video Issue

Well - I thought I had it - as I was able to get Netflix to play in Safari. I tried some other DRMed video streaming sites (like amazon) and they still failed. Then after a reboot - netflix was crashing my desktop again. My Setup: Gigabyte Z370 with ATI RX 580, running as a iMacPro. Currently...

Catalina - Safari Crashing on Video Issue

UPDATE: Found the issue. For whatever reason my IGPU platform-id from Mojave didn't work in Catalina. I changed to the recommended Platform-ID by following the guide on this site. This enabled the headless IGPU used by Safari. Problem Resolved

Catalina - Safari Crashing on Video Issue

I just finished the upgrade to Catalina, as in Movaje a number of things worked great: 1) Netflix/PrimeVideo etc. in Chrome 2) Apple TV Streaming. I have found a weird issue with Netflix, CraveTV, Prime Video in Safari - the minute I access the site - my computer locks up. Is this happening...

macOS 10.15 Catalina is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Had to upgrade to the latest Clover - but no issues otherwise - do we still need to use -lilubetaall for the whatevergreen/lilu kexts?

Hack won't Boot Unless Lilu is included in Clover

Thanks - I'm more than happy to leave it being injected by the boot loader, just the download link on this site and a few of the discussions have mentioned it should reload in /Library/Extensions - and I was trying to do things the "Right" way. Not an issue at all - Solved.

Hack won't Boot Unless Lilu is included in Clover

I've been tuning stuff for the last few months, and my hack is fully functional as a result. The latest Lilu and WhateverGreen call for the kexts to be installed in /Library/Extensions, but if I don't include them in Clover kexts/other my Hack won't boot. With them included in Clover...

    Vega 56 not working

Your card is not correctly seated in the socket - the gold pins should be fully seated in the socket. Try a little pressure or screwing it in.

Sporadic prohibited logo Mojave 10.14.5 (maybe other versions of mojave)

I had a similar issue and it was related to the Aptio driver in clover running out of memory. Try replacing your Aptio Clover driver with the new version "AptioMemoryFix.efi" - for me it also helped to turn on "Fast Boot".

    Sometimes prohibition sign at boot

Your probably running out of memory on the Aptio Driver. Make a backup of your existing Clover/Drivers64UEFI/OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi or OsxAptioFix3Drv.efi, and delete them from Clover/Drivers64UEFI on your EFI drive. Then copy over ApfsMemoryFix.efi and reboot. ApfsMemoryFix.efi is available on...

Bluetooth device will not wake Hack

I know it sounds silly - but humor me. If you disconnect every external USB device and try going to sleep - does it sleep?

Hackintosh Immediately Wakes From Sleep Issues

I can report I was able to solve my issue. The issue I had was I had a HD60S Streaming USB Device plugged into my USB - this device was causing it to wake immediately. As for waking from sleep from a bluetooth device - try clicking bluetooth (in system preferences) - advanced - "Allow bluetooth...

    BCM94360CS2 not recognised

The port you installed it on is a M.2 Port - not a mini PCI-Express slot. To use that card you will need an adapter for PCI-EXpress to Mini-PCI-Express. I have a similar motherboard and use the PCI-Express adapter without issue.

Hackintosh Immediately Wakes From Sleep Issues

Just thinking out load here - would it be easier to get a BT 4.0 USB Dongle? Maybe something with an external Antenna? Any out there that work with Continuity ?

Hackintosh Immediately Wakes From Sleep Issues

So I took a look: I have another internal device which I normally leave disconnected - this is the NZXT h500i controller for fans and less. When I plug that device into the same port as the Bluetooth - it shows as built-in without a hub. This leads me to believe that the bluetooth hub is...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

No need to go back 10.13.1. 10.13.3 is actually an extremely strong release - install the nvidia 104 driver using WebDriver.sh - problem solved. I have a Macbook pro I use in the office, and my Hackintosh I use when working from home. Never use a hack as your only Mac for work - its work - buy...
