    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

Hey @Morrow I switched to OpenCore and had a very stable hack then. I would recommend to use the Dortania vanilla guide which includes easy SSDT patching. I said “had” because I fried my h370 with a bad USB keyboard :( I build an AMD hack since.

    AMD Radeon Performance Enhanced SSDT

Hi @mattystonnie Thanks for posting the results of your research, but in the end it does not empower anyone if you do not explain what each properties actually do to the GPU. I see a lot of requests to fix EFIs but no clear explanations or references (like on Dortania). Same goes for the kext...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

Hi there, this is a very interesting thread! I have a Vega 56 (Hynix HBM2) with a Soft Power power play table I made with pyVega injected through DeviceProperties in OC 0.5.7. I blended the properties from the RadeonBoost.kext and so far the card is running faster, the UI is more responsive...

    Can't mount EFI

This is what I get in 10.14.5 when trying to mount the EFI partition in safe boot: $ sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s1 /Volumes/EFI /System/Library/Extensions/msdosfs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) operation/kext not allowed at current boot level; check the system/kernel logs for errors or...

[Solved] Quicktime crashes when trying to Screen Recorder

You are right. Actually I found the solution. I used the boot arg: shikigva=40 (AddExecutableWhitelist + ReplaceBoardID) AND shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94 (iMac Pro 1,1). Now both iGPU and Vega card are used when encoding HEVC 8bits in Compressor. Screen recording and iTunes work as well.

[Solved] Quicktime crashes when trying to Screen Recorder

So I added the iMac 19,1 dictionnary to AppleGVA.framework and forced the board ID Mac-AA95B1DDAB278B95 with boot args shikigva=32 and shiki-id=Mac-AA95B1DDAB278B95. -> Same behaviour as with the iMac 18,3 board ID, iTunes and Compressor crash.

[Solved] Quicktime crashes when trying to Screen Recorder

Hi, many thanks @Pavo. This Shiki boot arg allowed me to run screen capture and Compressor won't crash when opening. This is a first battle won  So I can encode in Compressor using the "Apple Devices HD (most compatible) (h.264), BUT if I use HEVC, which requires Intel QuickSync in the...

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

While trying to resolve a blind boot with DP cable on the Vega, I updated bios to v4.0 Now the hack won't boot :( and worse, the bios won't let me downgrade to v3.0 ... :banghead: I opened a thread on Asrock forums ... hoping they will send me a beta version that allows to downgrade...

    VgTab/Undervolt/Overblock

Hey, I managed 1615Mhz stable on the MSI Vega 56 Airboost OC with the stock cooler. It was not going above 1530Mhz. The trick is to max the fan sensitivity setting and lower the target temp to 60 degrees. Here is the VGTab link...

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

It seems that the chipset shared memory setting might be the cause to your sleep issues with bios v3.00: [SUCCESS] Asrock H370M-ITX/ac and getting RX560 or RX580 to work with Intel graphics for full hardware acceleration on Mojave (and maybe High Sierra 10.13.6)

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

Hi @aeromatic, With the plugintype=1 clover option sleep was working ok. I created a ssdt following this guide though as it seemed to be the recommended way: [Guide] Generate SSDT For Coffee Lake CPU -> The UHD 630 was capped at 500Mhz with the SSDT, I removed it using just pluggintype=1 and it...

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

I got a BCM94352Z card with 2 antenna ports from Amazon. Wifi + Bt work fine including airdrop and continuity features. I followed the Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]. Initially, the bluetooth connection was slow and erratic with the trackpad. I solved it by switching to a 5Ghz Wifi network. Now...

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

Hi, my hack is nearly a golden build now. Everything works but for 100Hz HDMI on the 34" ultra wide display. To return to the topic of this thread, bios v3.0 works fine for me. I had display issues with v3.1 but I think it was caused by a poor display port cable. I would need to try 3.1 again to...

    USB port limit patch for 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.5,14.6

Thanks @ydeng! You rock! :headbang: After adding the patches mentioned in post1 I created a SSDT-UIAC.aml file using the USBMap script. The patch allowed to run the script without disabling the SS_ or HS_ ports to perform the scan. Actually, the USBMap guide should be made sticky. After adding...

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

The kext does not seem to work as is. The info.plist structure is different than the one indicated in this post: XHC USB Kext Creation Guideline. What are the requirements for your kext to work?

    Working BIOS for ASrock H370m-itx/ac

Thanks for the heads up @aeromatic  I'm building my first hack based on this logic board and Mojave and I could not find a golden build based on this logic board. Question: do you have a working SSDT to map the USB ports on the ASrock H370m-itx/ac?
